I've heard of taking pentox not injecting - seems promising would be interesting to know what type of antioxidants
Thanks. Very interesting. The ultra-sound pictures are encouraging.
However, this was tried on only 2 patients, obviously in the acute phase.
Hopefully they try it on more patients, in the chronic phase as well.
I hope this won't be yet another interesting lead that fades into oblivion.
My thoughts exactly Igrace to me it helps me keep some form of hope to know this is a very recent study and at least someone is looking into this
It would be a good thing to contact the center in Rome, to know a bit more and to ask if they plan to continue with this procedure (on chronic cases especially). I think it's also good that the urologists who try new approaches get encouraged by Peyronies Disease patients, who are all potential clients of an effective procedure.
I will try to look into it this week-end, to send an email to the center. Maybe our Italian forum members can help as well !
I had those, I would say it helped in elasticity of the penis.
I had 3 pentox injections. Done in 2019. I also have regular traction. Almost daily. my bend has reduced to a curve but is still 30 degree. The plaque has softened but overal I can't say I am cured.
Pentox injections, are you sure??? Pentox is not injected. It is an oral medication.
It is injected, but I think only in Italy mostly.

No. It is also available in glass vials for injection purposes. I am sure.
Wow, I hope we're one step closer even if it takes years.
Be well.
There is already one topic on the forum related to study using treatment with pentox injections, link below. The topic contains opinion of one guy who had injections. I also added comment there with link to the page describing effects of such treatment with pictures.

I thought this was a very interesting paper
don't think I have ever seen documented case of complete 100% plaque resolution
they used a big concoction of many different anti-oxidants. seems like the products they used were pills that had a whole bunch of these anti-oxidants in one pill. seems like it is hard to get these particular products outside of Italy/Europe
I thought it curious that one of their cases derived all the benefit despite refusing the pentox injections.
many limitations to the study no doubt. would be awesome if there were bigger studies seeing how these combos of anti-oxidants work. many of the previous studies on anti-oxidants were quite short-term (less than 12 months) and it seems here much of the benefit takes ~4-5 years to really appreciate
I had many, the therapy was a bit costly but helped, for some years at least. The shot is done not into the plaque and the needle is ths smaller available
Anyone know if there are any Doctors in America that will do Pentox injections. I've seen at least too trials where injections were used and showed a bigger reduction in plaque size, even calcified. My doctor refusing to do anything outside of grafting surgery

Did you mean Xiaflex injections? The protocol is generally to do Xiaflex injections first to see if they work before surgery. Unless you have an extreme curve. You might want to share some additional symptoms you are experiencing as it will aid members here to offer any advice.
I just got a few pentox needles yesterday. Into the plaque. Talk about an acid burn...whoa! had to dig deep in that one, wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry...Burn gone in 30 min. Feel pretty good today.
