Title: Continuous PMP issues
Post by: markdubby on July 22, 2022, 05:29:11 AM
Hi all

long time user of a PMP (about a year and 5 months). I successfully corrected 2/3 plaques, but since the beginning of the year i've had continuous issues with the PMP, after a flawless experience for the first 10 months or so.

very often it seems that after variable amounts of time, the chamber doesn't hold vacuum and has to be replaced. added to this i have frequent slippage issues etc, that sometimes are sorted with the split adapters sometimes aren't. for example i just received a replacement 3 weeks ago and it's already inoperable and completely leaks as soon as i pull the vacuum and remove the pump. This has happened another 3-4 times and I had to go through imedicare in the uk with their "technical inspection" which makes me loose a week of treatment (extremely frustrating, as my latest curvature is almost resolved) and rather than them understanding what the issue is, they keep sending a replacement without getting to the root of this.

does anyone else have a similar experience?

I have not and I am still using mine, it has been almost 2 years now with no issues.

I had similar experiences.  It seemed I was off and running fairly smoothly for awhile then I just hit a wall with the PMP and had problem after problem with it.

I don't think the suction type traction devices are good for me. Also the Restorex gave me an injury the first time I used it. So that's a no go either. I just picked up the Jes Extender and will be starting that next week and a very conservative approach.

i emailed the actual PMP website, and they seem to acknoweldge that some devices run into problems but don't seem to know why
