Title: Hiatus: effects of
Post by: Muttley on June 01, 2022, 07:50:21 AM
I decided to leave my Rx device at home whilst I took a short holiday the result of which is that I have had a seven day break from traction.

I didn't want to suspend traction at all but was concerned that the Rx might get lost, broken, or even confiscated at the airport.

There is nothing that I can do about it now of course but I would be interested to know whether a short break as described would have much of an impact upon any progress that has been made (I should mention that so far, after about  six or seven weeks of hard core counter bending,  I have seen no change to the bend. Consequently, there might be  unseen progress which is yet to manifest as a reduction in 'bendature' ).
Anyone know?

From my experience with Restorex and traction in general it takes time and patience. Taking a little break in things will not hurt you. Slow and steady wins the race.

A break won't hurt you but just remember to ease in to it when you start back up. To keep yourself "loose" maybe do some manual stretching. Not a lot just a little bit everyday I'm taking seconds not minutes

Thanks for the advice Chaps.

I can see that I am no worse off and I am able to use the Rx device at position 4 on the CB (counter bend) just as I was before.

I am not sure why I worried about taking a short break really; I think that I should worry more about the fact that I am not making any progress despite serious efforts with Traction and VED.

Oh well, looks like surgery is looming.
