Title: which is best, abstinence or regular sexual activity?
Post by: BrianZotto on January 24, 2015, 06:10:07 PM
I've been reading the forum alot the past several days and i've noticed there are conflicting opinions on whether abstaining or regular sexual activity is helpful for peyronies.

When i'm flaccid at a zero level of arousal my penis is at its tightest, hourglasslike, and mildly painful. When i'm partially aroused the tightness seems to go away and the pain goes away, it looks more normal and feels more normal. When fully aroused the pain also seems to go away but there is still a mild discomfort because my erections are abnormally hard now.

When I first began to get the hardness and hourglass shape while flaccid I abstained for a week and it didn't seem to help at all with the tightness and hourglass like shape(it may of even gotten slightly worse). After a week I masturbated and it gave me quite a bit of relief(not just mentally) physically and seemed to improve bloodflow to the penis.

Any opinions on whether or not I should be abstaining, regualr sexual activity, sexual activity once in a while?

Brian

There are not conflicting opinions on whether abstaining or regular sexual activity is helpful for Peyronies, just different opinions.
Everyone agrees that if the erections are painful or not full, better to abstain, not to make more damage.
But if you have a good erection and no pain, as a healthy man you should not abstain from sexual activity in my opinion.

The one thing that is not debatable is that regular erections are beneficial. Not having regular erections (daily/nightly preferably) is damaging to a healthy penis, and probably even worse for one with Peyronie's.
