Title: question about improving the bend
Post by: Deek on September 08, 2020, 06:04:26 AM
over time (a few months) i have noticed a slight improvement in my dorsal curve from almost 90 degrees to 65-70 degrees.

Has anyone here noticed how the curvature has improved on its own over time (possibly after many years)?

This question is important to me because I don't want to give up hope that things can get better over time - even if it doesn't look like it right now.

I am constantly working on my situation and would be happy about other experiences - thanks guys

Hello Deek,

Congratulations on your improvement, I hope this trend will continue.

My curve started out at 45 degrees dorsal. Without treatment it improved to about 25 degrees in 5 months. Now that I have been doing treatments (VED, Supplements, pde5 (5mg tadalafil), tamoxifen (10mg x2) the curve is about 15 degrees. My penis looks a bit shorter from above due to the curve at the glans, although after measuring it today I found out the length is probably the same as it was before my peyronies started so I should stop worrying. Lost about 0.75 inch of girth at the top 20% of my penis due to narrowing but no significant girth changes at the rest of my penis so not a big deal.

My glans did not get hard anymore but following the VED protocol of my urologist probably did the trick in getting that almost back to normal.

There is hope. I still worry everyday but just listen to your uro and be critical.

For me doing things as keto did not have any benefit other than make me lose 8kg in a month. Best just to eat healthy, not smoke, drinking red wine for alcohol once a week if you want to, exercise 4 times a week and be on top of your medication and physical therapy. With lockdown in place I am wearing my traction device for 7 hours a day and it feels good because you feel like you are actively combatting the condition.

yours truly,
aboqor

Hello Aboqor,

Thank you for your reply.
After not really knowing what to do for the first 6 months, I have now found a routine for myself that seems to help a little.

Like you - after 6 months I started with 5mg tadalafil daily.
In addition there were daily VED sessions + daily intake of L-arginine + citrulline + traction by hand.

The blood flow to my penis has improved noticeably. I actually didn't have Hard Flaccid anymore.

I noticed yesterday in the VED tube that my curved penis is hitting the wall of the VED tube less.
I also noticed yesterday that my penis in the VED tube was 0.5 cm longer - great news for me :-)
It seems to be slowly going in the right direction.

It takes time - I've been in this fight for 12 months now.
12 months ago I had no hope and was devastated.

I want to call out to all those affected - STAY AT IT!

It's a marathon, but every route starts with the first step.

I'm pretty much in the same situation you are in.  I'm still around 90 degrees dorsal bend, but have been doing daily VED and on day 33 of traction with RestoreX, focusing heavily on the counter bend feature.  I have definitely noticed penile health improvement and slight improvement in curvature, 85 degreesish.  I am doing all the same things you are except for the PED5's.  lets hope we can have similar improvement and get over this crap.

hello bustedchubb,

i have read your posts carefully in the past - we have a similar starting point.
Our age and our onset of the disease are very similar. it sounds almost identical  ;)

A very important point for me was the daily use of tadalafil / cialis (5mg)
I am convinced that the blood flow in our penis must always be strong.
I believe it can help you too.

By the way, I've been doing a new thing for 2 months - I try to produce 2-3 erections a day - I keep them for 20 minutes each time.
This is a real penis workout. (but no ejaculation! - which is difficult sometimes)
I am 100% convinced that erections are very important to our progress.

Hold on - we don't really have a choice - this thing will stay with us until the end of life.

Have trust my friend  8)

Yeah, our stories are definitely close.  I'm going to have to add the PED5, there's no good reason not to.  You may be on to something about the erection holding idea.  I remember Monty having alot of success doing similar things with the way he uses the VED.

Ab - thanks for sharing your improvement - it's definitely inspiring.

Could you please share the VED protocol that you used?

Thanks

The protocol I use is as follows:

Warm up my pumping a little bit and releasing pressure.

1. Pump to about 90% erection, hold for 2 minutes then release. This is to warm up further.
2. pump to 100% erection, hold for 2 minutes then release. I repeat this second step 2-4 times.

I did this twice daily for 3 months. It is the only evidence backed protocol as far as I am concerned which is why urologists recommend it. If you have another protocol (like the one by old man) that works for you then please stick with it!

If you notice some bloodspots on your penis then give it some rest and do less repetitions. If you are doing fine then you can do 4.
