Title: Our sincere condolences to Old Man
Post by: Hawk on May 19, 2022, 12:15:23 PM
We are saddened to report that our oldest and longest-serving member, Old man, lost his dear wife of 59 years on Monday night.  She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late March.  She was an accomplished woman with a master's degree in music and loved by generations of students.  She will be missed by her family and students alike.

Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Sincere notes and thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for my wife who passed away from pancreatic lung and liver cancer. She passed away very peacefully in a local medical facility at 11:30 PM CDST Monday night this week. Final funeral services to be held at 2:00 PM, Friday afternoon at ou9 favorite local fu9neral home.

We really enjoyed a very long married life together life. She was a concert pianist holding a master's degree in piano performance and music education.

She will be sorely missed by me and her musical family.

Best Regards. Old Man

Old Man has been moved by the many responses.  Due to circumstances and his Dupuytren's Contracture getting worse, he asked that I express his thoughts and gratitude.

He wants everyone to know that not only is he grateful for all the emails and PM's but that they truly help him through lonely days and nights. He went on to say "Those members make those moments better. They make them bearable. Many thanks to those members remembering me in my time of grieving for my wonderful wife of 59 years".

Because we can't change events, we often feel powerless in such times but the truth is you are not powerless.  All of you do make a difference to me.
