Introduce Yourself / Glad to have this forum
Last post by peyronietom - June 16, 2025, 10:10:02 PM
Hi,
65 year old gay male, sometimes sexually active.  Discovered a "dent" in the left side of my penis while masturbating last month.  My penis now curves to the left.  The spongy tissue is still firm in my penis, although there is this "dent." I do use a 5 snap leather cock ring when masturbating or when I have sex. I would say my erections are quite firm.  I have no pain. When I'm lucky enough to score a "sex date" I often use Viagra (50mg)... so that I can "top" without any concern.  Have not topped since I discovered the Peyronie's.  I'm not expecting any difficulty since the curve is not severe. When I saw the "dent," I made an appointment with a urologist.  He confirmed Peyronie's by feeling my penis (not erect).  He could feel the plaque below the "dent" toward the base. The dent is about an inch (?) above the base of my penis. So, the base is firm, and the spongy tissue from the "dent" toward the head is firm.  There is this "dent."  My urologist called this a "waist." He suggested I "wait and see."  My biggest concern is that it gets worse, and I don't want to do anything to make it worse.  I'm generally masturbating every other day to keep the blood flowing in my penis.  And I'm sometimes taking Viagra, even when masturbating, to have an extra hard erection. I've been doing some exercises every day... pulling my penis (not erect) this way and that... to the left, to the right, upwards, downwards, helicopter. Learned to do this from NEOMAN on his YouTube channel. I've been "massaging" the area where the plaque and dent are when masturbating.  And I often bend my penis (gently) from the "dent" in the other direction (to the right) when masturbating.  Believe it or not, I do think the "waist" I had a month ago is better now than then... but I can't be sure?  It seems the right side of my penis is not "dented in" as much as it was a month ago?  There is not so much of a "waist."  But, I can't be sure.  Just this "dent" on the left side.  I hope this introduction is not too long?  If anyone thinks I'm doing something I shouldn't do, or has advice on something I might do right now, I'd great appreciate it.  Thank you for having this forum.

I replied to one of your other posts - yes I have the same exact ridge things mostly along the right side.  I have a left curve - so they are not a factor in my bend.  I have always wondered what they were because I don't always remember having them (of course I only really paid attention down there once I got p.d.)

Quote from: Ukguy1234 on March 29, 2025, 02:05:01 AMAfter rough sex and a minor slippage / mis-thrust situation, I began developing hardened vein-like bands in multiple areas of my shaft about a month later.

There was no pain or anything so didnt think there was any cause for concern.

You haven't always had those ridge like things straight across? I have the same exact thing along right side- I don't remember if I always had it but noticed they were there when I developed p.d.  I have a left curve so they have no bearing... but i've always wondered what exactly they were (if it's normal).  Maybe someone can chime in, if not can bring it up with the urologist to confirm.  You have photos so he can quickly give opinion on it.

Let me know because I am curious as someone who has the same exact thing.

It seems many men who get p.d. can't recall a specific event (something severe like penile fracture).  I do believe this: let's be real if we were to have hurt our member we would definitely remember the incident.  There's no way you wouldn't be able to remember if you injured yourself.

Whatever the underlying cause is I think it makes the person susceptible.  Non p.d. suffers are not effected by the normal wear & tear for sex....p.d. suffers don't have this resistance for whatever reason.  I'm almost convinced is some sort of metabolic thing.

Sounds like a great idea.

You'd figure this thing would get a lot more attention / research

There are worse things for sure (a terminal cancer for instance) but there is very little else that could cause such distress in a man as p.d.

Oral Treatments for Peyronie's Disease / Iodine
Last post by Centurian25 - June 15, 2025, 05:28:25 PM
I apologize if this has already been mentioned on here - I looked for it but didn't find it.

On another forum a person claimed that taking iodine, in the form of the product iodoral, reversed his p.d.  He claims he was motivated to try it after reading about how someone used it to reverse dupuytren's.  His post sounds miraculous.  Has anyone come across this/tried it?  I'll post the link below so you can read the thread.

What are your thoughts about it and how it could theoretically work?  The author on the forum seems pretty adamant about it.

I don't doubt it

I saw 2 or 3 urologists for my p.d. back in the day when it first came on.  I had to take about a handful of injections in total if I remember for the examinations (an injection to get an erection and than another to kill your erection after examination).  I can say with 100% confidence that these couple of injections worsened my peyronies and left me with ed which I didn't necessarily have when I first got the condition.  I first got checked out about 2 years after I developed the curve and at the time the only issue was the curve.

I was never warned about the possibility of the above- the experience left me extremely bitter & resentful.

If you are a person who has this condition or are prone to getting it at some point, you probably should not injecting anything into your penis.
