Does anyone have experience with extra tunica grafting done to them and effect on erection quality sensation. Also if it improved indentation , buckling ? I want to find a way to correct my indentation on one side ? Please help me.

Yes I had it done.   It is terrific and I think the best way to get rid of hourglassing and structurally reinforce the erect penis.  I know of only two surgeons in US,  dr Tom Lue in CA and Brian Christine in AL.  There is no downside... it literally saved my sex life.  Here's the video of my actual surgery...
fairly painless and easy recovery.

Benjamin,
Thanks for your message.
Does it work for people with some degree of ED? Did you have any shortening? Do you feel anything different now, stitches, discomfort, etc? How is the post-op?

Sorry for so many questions.

Can't speak to Erectile Dysfunction issues... this doesn't effect the ability to get nor sustain erections tho.

Loss of length due to surgery is insignificant... but loss of length due to the condition of Peyronies Varies.  What I am saying is Peyronies is a disfigurative condition.

Hard to say if it feels different.  But I don't feel the graft under my skin.  I have no complaints at all

So is my Dick smaller... yes... it looks different.  But I also don't look like my HS pictures either.
A straight Dick is best.  And since my surgery... I'm thankful to have had great sex.  And women think my Dick is just dandy...

Gents. This is fixable.  It comes down to time, dedication and resources.  At 58 I didn't want to spend years trying to fix this thru less invasive means.  I'm on limited time... lol

I am going down the same path as Benjamin62, with the same doctor, and looking to get the same procedure. I have my tele-appointment on 2/9 and if I am a good fit will be targeting a trip to Birmingham in the May timeframe if possible to get this crap over with.  There are many options with surgical treatment, but if you don't have erectile issues but have narrowing / severe bending, this is a great procedure to start with.  It is far less invasive and has far less side effects and possible complications than any other surgery that I've seen to date.

I've done 121 days of 90 minute RestoreX traction at this point, plus daily Sommacorrect VED therapy, and I have only about 5-10 degree improvement.  So if you aren't making headway, surgery is a major option that should not be ignored.

Bustedchubb, I'm guessing you will be getting plication to correct the curve along with ETG for narrowing. Why don't you do Xiaflex to reduce curve from 80 degree first ? I heard it can reduce curve by 50 percent on average if used with restore x. The benefit is that the length loss associated with plication will be less for less severe curve or you may be happy with the residual curve in the best case. You might just then do ETG to correct narrowing.

Again it's about time, dedication and resources.
You can do 16 dot Plication and extra tunical grafting surgery at the same time.  About 45 mins in the surgical suite with 100% guarantee that the problem is totally fixed.

Or you can do xiafiex... which results in spotty results over 6-8 weeks and RestoreX (which I also did )over months if not years with questionable results.

Again my personal thought... how much mental mind fxxk should a man put him self thru to fix this.  The longer one worries and obsesses over one men's hood. The more likely for depression and destructive thoughts.

If you can afford it.  And have the resources. Fix it. And get on with living!

I did...

Benjamin62, how is your sensitivity after the sugery, how are your erections, did you lose length and girth?. Thank you

surely EQ must be affected? as i understand it the filler material is not erectly tissue, its just a graft so you have still the indentation and scar constricting and preventing your coprus cavernosum from filling fully, its just that oyu have filled the gap with a graft? i could not deal with the idea that the deformity is still very much present its just covered up?

Bud luck since he got plication he must have lost length ( how much is the question ). Since he got extra tunical grafting, his girth should have increased to match the rest of the penis.

Each one of us must make our choices based on what is best for each one of our situations. I'm definitely not saying not to get Xiaflex, just that I am not doing that.   I've done a ton of research on Xiaflex, and it does and can work in cases, however for curvature as severe and hourglassing as I have, it would more than likely do more harm than good.  A lot of Peyronies Disease specialists have outright said it doesn't work in severe cases and in most cases makes their job more difficult when its time to do surgery due to the complications that arise from its use.

the problem to me is that every doctor says something different, there doesnt seem to be a thing like expert consense. my doc said definitely do xiaflex before any surgery because it is less invasive. he never talked about xiaflex potentialyl making a surgery more difficult and he also did not talk about complications. i dont understand why it would not work in severe cases? sure it wont make you straight as average improvement is 1/3rd but it could actually make a surgery easier for example if the curve is reduced from 80 to 40 degrees, plication becomes an option when before it really was not. sadly it is not approved in my country but id pay out of pocket to get it done if i was a candidate.

with the extra tunica grafting i wonder, in the video brain christine said the patients own tissue grows into the graft. what does that mean? what tissue? tunica? because it is surely not erectile tissue, the type of tissue that would normally be there? id like to see some stats on function afterwards because for me, the hourglassing is most annoying BECAUSE the indent cuts right into the erectile bodies. wouldn t that still be the case after ET grafting? because it is just putting something on top to fill the deformity right? to me this is not a perfect solution, id much prefer imporoving the actual underlying deformity and making tissue more elastic

but i can totally understand your point, time is limited and this disease is horrible so limit time being bothered by it i guess. but at 23 i feel like i should not have this in the first place .(

My appointment went well.  Dr. Christine is a total class act. He treated me with the utmost respect and took the time to get to know me and my situation.  I have yet to have any of the doctors treat me like that.  He wants me to come down to get the doppler scan done with injection to induce erection.   He needs to be able to see exactly what I have going on so he can give his best options for a surgical solution.  As far ETG, he said he has modified the surgery some as he uses less graft now to keep the graft area from being too bulky post surgery.  Other than that its all the same as we seen in the video, and is possibly one option of several.  He thinks that Excision and Grafting might be the better option, but only testing will know for sure.  I'm just going to live with it if that is the only thing he will do.  I'm either getting plication/etc / plication or nothing at all.

Bustedchubb I think the reason he is recommending excision and grafting is because of the 80 degree curve. After the Doppler test, ask doctor about Xiaflex, if it reduces your curve under 60 degrees you might be a better candidate for plication and ETG which seems like your preference.

Sure, I'll ask him.  I personally don't have any real sensation loss, just hourglassing and curvature.

Yeah, you're probably right about that.  I know he did benjamin62's with a 90 degree curve so it's got to be an option at 80 degrees.  We'll see.  I will update after my appointment in April.

Benjamin 62 I have a ventral curve like you.... my main concern is that the ventral side of the penis is short  when I measure with an inch tape, it was right around 4.2 inches, the top side on measuring is 5.7 inches. I have read that plication basically makes longer side shorter to match the short side, if that is true, it would be devastating for me to go from 5.7 inches to 4.2 inches. That would make me lose more than an inch in length, more over plication for ventral curve leads to more length loss. My current curve is about 45 to 50.  This makes me very depressed frankly and there is not a second I stop thinking about it day after day. How much length did you lose ? Did it make your penis as long as the short side ? What were you pre-post op measurements ?

Moreover I'm only 26 and had barely started my sex life. I am envious of the older men here who get peyronies, they atleast have a wife, children and can consider getting an implant with minimal revisions if any. I don't see any solution for me that would fix my problem for the long run given my age. I want to be able to have sex till I'm old,  how the hell am I supposed to get an implant that last only 10 years on average, and risk infection with multiple revisits revisions throughout my life risking loss of sensation etc...

I am so sorry this happened to you at a young age.

This is a difficult question to answer and as far as I'm
Concerned is incorrectly answered on this forum and elsewhere.

The issue is (my opinion) Peyronies is a deformative condition.  In that regard having the condition robs you of length.  You should speak to Dr Brian Christine about the specifics of your condition.   I believe the loss of length due to surgery was minimal.  That said my penis when erect is much shorter then it was.

However... since the surgery... my new lover... whom I only met recently was delighted with my penis.  A straight shorter Dick is better then a longer curved one that doesn't function

You are not defined by the length of your cock.  Honestly you can bring your woman just as much pleasure with a shorter member.

Post rocker, please read about Extra Tunica Grafting, it is only to correct indentation deformity by covering the contours. It will not correct curve at all or be a replacement for plication. It is not supposed to change erectile function or result in any length loss as the tunica albuginea is not dissected. One would need plication to correct curve which results in length loss and ETG for covering indentations.

Gents, I've read some of the questions and answers and would like to share my experiences. It's been a 6 year road for me now since the beginning of this horrible Peyronies Disease journey all along accompanied with the mind F**k that cows along with it. Once I decided to stop with the Vaccum pumps, Restorex device and several other miracle drugs  Xiaflex etc, I went from an indentation to a serpent bend (yeah exactly) I went to a Dr Peter's on LI who corrected the S type curve with and excision and grafting procedure along with a slight plication at the very top of the shaft. At first I couldn't be happier during the healing process I thought all of this was behind me. However with time I started to get a residual ventral curve accompanied by hourglassing in the area where the grafting was applied. After reading about residual curving after a grafting procedure I found That most residual curves after this procedure could be a result of a smaller graft than needed used.  I ended up with a 45 to 50° Ventral curve with an hourglass (or hinging) Wage if you guys do your homework will put you in a dangerous position for rupture if not addressed. (A risk I didn't want to risk) after an extensive search, many papers many videos how many conversations with people on this site. I met Dr. Christine, called him had a lengthy conversation on the phone today. (A perfect gentleman and professional)  I flew down to see him from New York, sat with him for about an hour and a half went through an extensive exam, and he told me my options. I scheduled an appointment for the surgery (plication and extra tunica grafting) and I'm currently in my second week of healing. As of right now I can see the plication correction during nocturnal erections and see the added girth however I'm still dealing with bruising and swelling but extremely hopeful for a great outcome.  Anyone with the ventral curve should know Xiaflex is not an option it's not approved and very dangerous because of it's proximity to the urethra. Definitely give Dr. Christine a call he's very easy to talk to and has mentioned in previous post One of only two doctors that do this consistently.  Any questions DM me.

I saw Dr. Brian Christine yesterday and I specifically asked his opinion on ETG, namely does he feel it will provide any added structural support?  He was in agreement with Dr. Levine, that the ETG will not offer any structural support and that it is aesthetic.

IwillbeatPD

So if ETG is purely aesthetic and does not provide actually support, how would this even be effective for hourglassing? Ny penis is generally straight but with plaque that causes hourglassing mid shaft.

What would you all suggest is best for a straight penis, good erections, but hourglassing and instability?

From what I've learned it's unfortunately nothing. It can improve or become worse as time goes on. Sometimes the surrounding tissue adjust to give the hourglassing a taper which makes it look less obvious but in actuality you lose girth.

I didn't actually get the Extra Tunical Grafting as Dr. Christine plicated in such a way that the narrowing was mitigated and merely just a visual issue and not a stability issue.

Hey Chubb,

When you say it was mitigated, does that mean there was some instability before, but after the plication it helped with stability?

Also, did the dent go away after? Just wondering why he wouldn't do the grafting while he's already in there.
