Is anyone on this forum using a normal sex shop style penis pump? The VED devices recommended here are very expensive and I live in South Korea so shipping/import tax is an extra expense too.

Yep I just use a single cylinder one from Leluv that has a pump with a gauge. Works perfectly.
So you think a penis pump with a guage is a decent purchase? Did it help you in any way?
Is it important to have a gauge to know how much pressure is being applied? I'm looking at ordering a VED from a sex shop soon as the medical grade ones appear to be difficult to come by here in Australia. The one I am looking at has a simple manual hand pump which seems safer than an electronically pumped one. Am I correct in assuming that its more about the length (20%, 30%, 50% of erection) it is pumped to (as per the protocol) and the feel more so than the measure of pressure?
I bought a cheap penis pump from aliexpress with a gauge and it's working fine. I tend to go by feeling but the gauge is nice to have.
It is not important to have a gauge to know how much pressure is being applied. Everyone is different!
You should pump to the level you don't have discomfort and no pain. And don't keep pressure longer that let's say 30 seconds
