Title: Erect penis outside of a vagina = damage to the penis
Post by: peyroniesurprise on January 25, 2023, 01:24:33 PM
This is a post that tries to logically follow the function of the penis and the physics of blood/fluid flow.

So the function of the penis is reproduction. Otherwise you would not have one. The erection's function is to achieve the delivery of sperm inside of the vagina, as you could not achieve this delivery with a flaccid gland, or even if you tried, your chances of succeeding would be minimal at best. Now of course you can stick your penis anywhere or stimulate it in an infinity of ways, but any such stimulation only works because it tangentially mimics it's intended evolutionary function - to get inside a vagina.

Any time you use it in another way besides getting into a vagina, you're not using it for it's intended evolutionary purpose. And this evolutionary force created it for that specific situation only. No "oral sex" (that's not sex), no "anal sex" (that's not sex). no jerking off (that's not sex), no rubbing your penis on a mattress (not sex) etc. None of those "sex acts" exist in nature for any relevant manner, by the way.

Now for the mechanics of an erection and PIV. The penis as we know functions by getting engorged with blood when you get sexually aroused (anticipating PIV). We can think of the penis as a tire bladder (sorry i don't know the exact word for it in english) that gets inflated by air. The issue is that the pressure your body inflates it to is set to the natural resistance a vagina provides. The vagina would be the actual tire that provides resistance to the bladder (penis).

If you take any bladder and inflate it to the pressure it would have been inflated INSIDE the tire, but do so OUTSIDE of the tire, the bladder will inevitably rupture or in best case scenario suffer some sort of dent and damage.

So your penis is clocked to inflate for a specific resistance but by maintaining an erection outside of a vagina you're inflating the bladder without a tire ultimately causing damage/rupture/explosion.

I have to disagree.....   First I think the word you are looking for is "inner tube". This inner tube analogy is like the Corpora Chambers in the penis. The "tire", is the tissue called the Tunica. This creates the resistance and gives you penis its size and shape. And this is the reason why erections come in all sizes and shapes.

Getting an erection outside the vagina is NOT dangerous and does NOT cause any damage. Vaginas also stretch in size and therefore can accommodate nearly any size and shape of erection.

Vaginas stretch but they will always provide added and EVEN resistance. If you ever have sex, and i assume you did, you know vaginas grip and push against your penis.

Again, since the penis has evolved FOR intercourse, NOT outercourse (that shouldn't even be a word), it is a very straightforward reasoning that it's clocked to the counter pressure provided by a vagina.

Blood vessel damage due to pressure from the inside it very frequent, that's why blood pressure is such a frequent and standard measure of health.

Is a good point PeyroinesSuprise. My penis feels much healthier when I am having sex instead of masterbation less pressure on the penis and more evenly distributed I believe.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I normally don't jump in on these topics so people can come to their own conclusions. But in this case this is one of the strangest analogies I've ever heard.

Trapper, don't fall for it. If someone hurts themselves from masturbation it is because they are doing it rough (and I've heard some wild stories).

I'm not debating the pros/cons of masturbation. And I agree the penis/erection overall purpose is for delivering semen. What I have an issue with is the point you are trying to make that the internal vaginal pressure is required to keep your erection from exploding.

I find it self contradictory to say "people can come to their own conclusions" and then follow it with "trapper, don't fall for it".

I laid down my though process. If you have any objection to that other than saying "no", you are welcome to share.

Let us say this theory was 100% true, and kudos for "outercourse" that sounded hella funny, but again, let's say it's true, then why do not all men in the world get Peyronies?

Also, if jacking off is seen by this theory as an issue then how come 95% of peyronies cases happen during SEXUAL INTERCOURSE

I'm not sure I understand the point of the original post, which is well argued but seems a bit misguided. What are we to do?

According to the logic of the original post, it's unnatural and, in fact, downright harmful to have an erection if it is not being "contained" by a vagina. And that, of course, is absurd. Babies have erections. Toddlers. Juveniles. Men have multiple erections in their sleep. I had an erection 24 hrs a day from the age of 12-16 (just kidding).

The argument is interesting but I don't think it makes any real sense. Yes, erections are for sex, but that does not equate to "erections outside of sex are harmful or dangerous." One doesn't follow the other.

nemo

As a moderator I was tempted to just remove this post as it is as meritless as it is ridiculous.
Billions of men have erections every day, and I daresay billions of them masturbate weekly, daily, or even more than once a day.  I reject entirely the bizarre opinion that oral and anal sex are "not sex".  Again, billions of men and women disagree, so we can only assume the poster hasn't managed to enjoy either of those acts, which are indeed the very definition of sexual since they are performed by two (or more?) partners for the purpose of sexual stimulation and fulfilment.  If anything, I would think that the sum total of all male orgasms in a day on Earth attained by masturbation, oral and anal probably exceeds the total of male orgasms which occurred in vaginas around the world.
Surveys from many different countries show consistently that a third to a half of couples engage in oral sex, and that in general seven of eight people have engaged.  Surveys show similar percentages for anal too.  Further, on masturbation, one must take into account the fact that there are plenty of males who have sex with their partners but also enjoy masturbation, so sex with partners and masturbation are not at all mutually exclusive.
If the post had any veracity at all, it would mean that all the males in the world are destroying their penises.  What a load of rubbish.  It doesn't even belong on this forum, but I'll leave it up because it's amusing.
