Title: Using VED: Active -vs- Chronic phases
Post by: Ethan on August 25, 2022, 07:09:19 AM
Hi guys,
Back in Aug 2021, I experienced the onset of Peyronies. I looked online for guidance and found some straightening exercises, so I did that for about 1 week.

I assume that this was the 'active' phase. In these first few weeks of peyronies, I would sometimes feel an ache inside my penis, even in flaccid state without touching it.

After the first few days, I was finally able to see my doctor. He said that there wasn't much evidence to show that Vacuum devices worked, and he told me to just "rest it".

Though, one year later, I have finally been given a phone consultation with a NHS Urologist and he told me to go out and buy a Vacuum device because mechanical treatment is needed ::), and he said I will also need a prescription for Tadalafil (Cialis) to take twice a week.

I am sick of the contradictory views coming out of the NHS (UK), hence I am seeking help here.

Q: Is it still effective to use a VED in the Chronic phase? ... And if so, where can i buy a good VED in the UK please?

I have read through many posts on this forum, and other users have mentioned "iMediCare" (at: https://www.mypelvichealth.co.uk/en/men/erectile-penile-health/erectile-dysfunction-management-penile-rehabilitation/somaerect-response-ii/ ) ... is this product still recommended?

Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

How many degrees was your curve and also was there any narrowing/dents?

What have improved over the 2 years.

I had quite a severe curve that made sex very awkward and have quite severe hourglassing and dents with shortening in length and girth. The VED has definately improved the curve but sadly not helped with the other issues. I'm hoping if I bear with it that may change. The main difference is the curve and glans engorgement is better as that was an issue too. Altogether much better quality erections and better sex. That being said I miss my old cock and the joy it gave me for years but when I look at the youngsters here with this condition I feel blessed I had some great times in partnership with my little warrior for most of my young life and can't complain. I would just say on a serious note, keep to the advice and follow the protocols as they will stop you from any injury that  will set you back. I follow to the letter and never had an issue and had some good benefits that has given me hope that I may get more in tje future. Its a long haul but think its worth it.
