Title: Antioxidants and flu medications
Post by: martin111 on January 15, 2023, 06:29:17 PM
Hi,
Does anyone know if taking antioxidants mentioned in survival guide should be stopped when having flu and taking related medications (paracetamol, NSAID like ibuprofen etc.)? I didn't find any interactions on leaflet. Thanks.

Antioxidants could be compared to eating foods that contain them and will not harm you. When you get a cold people take extra vitamin C and zinc to help with a speedy recovery and help your body to cope. You don't need to stop taking them when you are sick.

Yeah, that's true it's like food. However I read that for example Glinko Biloba might interact with ipuprofen. I stopped taking antioxidants for 3 days until cured flu, just in case. Anyway thank you for your reply.
