Title: Medicare & implant?
Post by: Steve W on January 27, 2019, 08:03:20 PM
Gentlemen, I have Medicare kicking in beginning in February. I have supplemental secondary insurance as well. Do any of you have experience with getting current Medicare plans to cover an implant? I've signed up for a Blue Cross Blue Shield Medicare plan. Any guidance would be sincerely appreciated before I start the process, which I am sure is challenging.

I have Medicare and a supplement and never heard a peep from any problem getting approved for my implant.
I don't know about Medicare Advantage programs since I think they supersede regular Medicare.

Not yet. Haven't discovered whether or not they are high volume enough, to make me feel comfortable. Denver would be doable as well. Locally, I don't like the guy claiming to be a specialist.

I have Medicare as primary and government BCBS as secondary and they paid every cent other than the initial video consultation.
