Title: VED or TRACTION
Post by: fetus on November 30, 2012, 08:43:55 PM
My NEW (the forth so far) doctor recommended PENTOX 2 tablets twice daily. L-Arginine. Verapramil Injection 10 every two weeks - Will start late January MAYBE as it's a scary thing. AND TRACTION FOR TWO HOURS daily or more.

Two months since diagnosis

I have been on TRENTAL nearly two months take or give two weeks... CoQ10 300 daily - Vit E 500I .... Tried Vit E oil., now and again Bromelian but rare, L-Acetly Carnitine one months or so, L-Arginine just under a week, and Propolis empty stomach 5 am every day.

I have a 43 degree curve up, my penus shifts right but does not curve right - so I am not sure this is Peyronie - Never pain with erections - No ED, I think - I think the bent has increased in this last two months from 30 to 43 but not sure if a measured right.....

Would like to ask members here their thought about TRACTION vs VED. Side Effects / Benefits / I know of the time requirement -

When I asked my doctor her simply shrugged aside the VED.... which sounded a bit prejudice.

I ran and purchased the damn thing but that does not mean I can't by a good VED and just try that. Expecting delivery on one week. I still don't know how I'll manage the time with kids in the house. Will need to be in bits and pieces and mostly at night. I am not sure. I am tempted in just purchasing a good VED

PLEASE FEEDBACK

Traction is great, has done more for me than VED. Your mileage may vary.

I personally would ditch the verapimil injections, depending on the skill of the doctor (or lack thereof) some have seen their condition worsen considerably due to the injections.

Hey Fetus,

What is the purpose of the propolis relative to Peyronies?

Just wondering,

Good Luck

Hey guys,

How do you actually measure the bend? For example, if I hold the base of my penis parallel with the floor, the upper shaft is vertical at almost a 90 degree angle from the floor, like an "L". Is that what we consider a 90 degree bend or is it something else?

Can someone please clarify? I couldn't find the info elsewhere.

Thank you.

There was a Cuban study that touted red propolis as an effective treatment for peyronie's. I've been on it for about a month as well, and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Yeh, I think that study is old and that it died a natural death.  It seems to be like some of the Italian studies of things that seem to only work if you happen to be an Italian living in Italy ???

If you think it has any real merit (double blind, large group, etc) post the link.

Hawk, what if I moved to Italy for a while, became a citizen, married an Italian woman, and consumed red propolis. Would that help me with my Peyronie's?  :P

Only if you became a part of one of their studies that no one else seems to be able to duplicate.  ;)

MF
yes if the base of erection is parallel to the floor, and then bends upward pointing straight up, this is a 90 degree dorsal curve.

What do you guys think is safer or more effective, traction or VED therapy?

Here's a little about my case of Peyronies:

I've had it about 20 months, have 30 degree upward curve, have some hour glassing around the base and left side, no major visible plaques, just scar tissue, pain and soreness after sex. I've lost at least an inch of length and girth, and after trying oral supplements and medications, think I will try VED or traction.

Which do you guys recommend is better in general, or better in my case specifically? Also, would it be better to wait until Xiaflex comes out in September to combine VED or traction therapy with Xiaflex injections?

I had read through that but it seemed to have been sidetracked. Thought I'd resurrect the thread.

If the erection looks just like a banana, what is the degree of the curve? Thanks Inkhorn a newbie

Inkhorn,
You can't estimate a curve based on a description (banana). There are ways to accurately measure your curve. If you are interested send me a private message (PM) and I will send you some detailed steps.
