Title: What on earth shall I do? Please shed some light!
Post by: Dressa on June 15, 2018, 06:39:52 AM
Hi!

I have been a member in this forum sime months. A great place for knowledge. I presume I have a congenital curve that since a few months also has peyronies on top of that. My curve is approx 40 degrees...some problems staing hard etc and also mild pain from the base of the penis. I have been im contact with several urologists and received different opinions. I spoke to a doctor yesterday on the phone and explained my situation. As of now I take 5mg Cialis each morning and use VED and some supplements...coq10 etc. Today I have received a traction device...Andropeyronie. The doc told me that surgery is the only way to go and he said that traction and other methods are unabled to be a solution. I am starting to feel very low and I really don't know what to do. I have hourglassing when semierect and a dent on the underside of the bend. My curve is upwards and the dent is on the opposite side...strange! Can traction be of value? Is the doc right? Here in Sweden surgery seems to be the only recommended way. Please give me some hope!

/Andreas

Hi, not much use but if your curve is congenital then your option is to operate or learn to live with it, with a 40 deg upward you should still be able to enjoy penetrative sex, is this so?

So traction is worthless in my case? I have peyronies and the curve is certainly worse now than before. This is on top of congenital.

Do you do any hand stretching & massaging? that could help.

No stretch manually. I wonder if surgery is my only way forward.

For the hourglassing traction, VED, & anti-oxidants can all help and prevent worsening.

The indentation is at the base - on the underside. When I feel with my fingers while flaccid, it's very clear that sonething's not right. It feels like the penis is separated in two sections. I have not started traction yet. I received my Andropeyronie yesterday but there's no way that I'll be able to figure out how to put it together. I am using VED and wrote to my uro today to get some suggestions on what to do and what type of surgery he recommends. I am starting to feel like crap and most of the time I'm on the bottom. Cialis is helping with erections but I have no more spontaneous ones. I feel dead.

I haven't had any other examination than doctor checking. I have always had a curve but recently it's been a bit worse. I have some problems with erection and mild pain from time to time. On the underside I feel an indentation near the base. My curve is upwards approx 40 degrees. The hourglassing is a bit better now. I use cialis and VED. What other possible diagnosis are there except peyronies? The docs have not mentioned anything else.

I'm not sure that this is the protocol here in Sweden. If you do plication surgery for example the doc will see the plaqur areas when operating.
