Title: Timeline for treatment
Post by: samsung on May 26, 2019, 07:42:12 PM
Hello! I am approx. 14 months along and I have done nothing. I have an appointment in 2 weeks to get Xiaflex injections. Of course, I'm very afraid of that whole process. I have a number of questions to ask: For instance, is it too late to start traction? Is there an ideal medication list that I can start taking now? I read that the plaque stabilizes around the 18th month mark but also read that it is progressive and can bend 100 degrees overnight just because the wind blows. I have had a gradual progression. Like I said I'm 14 months in and will it get severely worse for no given reason or can I expect that this is pretty much it for curve, length loss, etc? Also, I need to know if I should avoid whacking off or not? I am terrified that this would do more damage. So far, it hasn't but the last time I did, I got a burning sensation that lasted awhile after I had finished. Thanks for reading.

Welcome, be sure to read the survival guide if you haven't yet.  Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums (https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057)
Traction is highly recommended to be paired w xiaflex. My doc said wait 3-5 days after the second injection of each round.  mastubation and sex is ok-your doc will tell you how long to wait after the second injection of each round.  Def follow these instructions to avoid a fracture.  Some docs recommend pentox during xiaflex, others don't.  I'd def consider low dose nightly PDE5i on going.  You could also use hot hands treatment before or after traction.  Keep us posted.

I was afraid too after reading the Literature Xiaflex sends out. About backed out before the first injection. Glad I didn't. I had sex and masturbated 2 weeks after each injection. I noticed improvement after the 3 round or 6 injections. Really didn't notice much improvement after round 5 so I figured that was the best I could expect. I have some calcification. No traction here so I can't say whether it could have helped
