About 14 months in, working on peyronies (app 25 degree left bend). Got the usual bad advice from 1st DR ie: "do nothing for 1 year". DO NOT accept that advice. Started doing my own research, found this forum. Ended up seeing Dr. Levine in June 2018 AND am about 6 weeks into treatment of Traction & H100 (I intend to post a progress report after 90 days or so). Spend a lot of time reading this Forum and started noticing "Dupuytren's" mentioned on occasion. Not knowing what it was, I did a google search and realized that the lump on my right palm , that appeared about the same time as my Peyronies, may be related. Always wondered what caused my Peyronies. I'm 70 years old and gave up "Reverse Cowgirl" years ago. No injuries that I'm aware of. I have no pain OR ED, with my peyronies. Still have a pretty mild sex life but am afraid to have intercourse because of possibility of further injury. Now also concerned about Dupuytren's (at soon to be 71 yrs, I'm just as concerned about my golf game as I am my sex life). ANYWAY, I currently do not have any pain in my hand and my fingers are still straight. It sounds like the Dupuytren's might progress with time. Like to know if anyone has experience with this and could make any recommendations (like diet, supplements, etc.)?
Both are caused by insulin resistance or an inability to use glucose properly. Intermittant fasting or keto are critical, not only to your organs but to your brain. Consider CoQ10 supplementation ASAP and begin traction and possibly VED therapy immediately. You can still kick ass and function fine as long as you tackle it from all angles (literally, in the case of traction). Dupuyren's also requires traction. Stretch your pinky finger daily! My father has it as well.
Glad to hear someone has both Dupuytren's Contracture & Peyronies Disease. CD first started in my right hand & went away. Now it's in my left hand & I've had it for almost 4 years. Thickening of the cord from the pinky to an indent in the palm of my hand, sometimes it gives my a throbbing pain. The orthopedic will not treat until it is over 30 degrees.
I noticed my Peyronies Disease around July 2018, but I think I realized that my length was changing prior. My brother has Dupuytren's Contracture in the left hand also, I don't know if he has Peyronies Disease. I haven't shared my problem with anyone but the group & wife. My brother is a diabetic, not sure if that will happen to me.

Do what you can! Diabetes is very much end stage insulin resistance, and you may never get that diagnosis, but you may still have Peyronie's and Dupuytren's worsening unless you avoid glucose (my personal opinion based on my own research).
Begin the physical therapies and see a specialist if you like. Just know that the diseases truly are IN YOUR OWN HANDS until they are so bad that you require surgery or invasive therapies such as Xiaflex. So many men reduce their symptoms of Peyronie's or even nearly cure it like I have with traction, VED, etc. I personally think that diet is critical. Do what you can and keep us updated!
Note to all who have both Peyronies Disease and DC:
I have had been through several bouts of DC, so I consider myself a seasoned patient with it. Also, have had Peyronies Disease since the age of 24 back in the 1950s when there was little to be done about. Read my many posts since 2005 when the forum was instituted.
OK, what I want to say about DC now is that there are ortho surgeon who can correct curving and drawing conditions with DC with a very easy office visit rather than heavy surgery. It is done with only a needle type cut with local deadening. I have this done with my local ortho. I went into his procedure room as he called it with both middle fingers on my right hand bent almost to being closed. 15 minutes later, I walked out of that room with all fingers on my right hand flexible to normal.
So, suggest that any member diagnosed with DC do a google search for a surgeon in their area who can do the procedure. You may have to use different names for what is called the needle procedure for DC correction, etc

Thanks for the info, thinking the only treatment other than surgery is XIAFLEX when you reach at least 30 degrees.
