Xiaflex Injections / Had 5 rounds of Xiaflex ended ...
Last post by randyzon - Yesterday at 06:15:44 PM
I had 5 (2 dose) rounds of Xiaflex. Insurance provided the 5th round during some confusion so I used it and have used the Restorex since starting. I had almost 90 degrees curvature making intercourse impossible and now less than 60. At least I am able to have intercourse.

New year, so I am going to ask the urologist to do a re-evaluation for the purpose of getting authorized for another 4 rounds.

Anyone ever ask to be re-evaluated?

Thank you for the reply. I don't think ED, just a severe curve and loss of length.

So I've had peyronies for 4 years now. Curvature not too bad. Just glans does not fill fully. Maybe 50%. And have loss of sensitivity. Shaft gets hard. I've only just been reading how daily tadalafil could help here as well as using a VED.

Been reading the forums. But can't find much on automatic VEDs? As if I'm using daily I want it to be as easy as possible to use. Any recommendations? Or should I just stick to soma correct?. Although it's really only for my glans.

Have had Peyronies for about 5 years, don't recall exact date. Diagnosed by urologists. First mass appeared right side, painful and caused curvature.  Over next 12 months-ish another mass developed left side.  This almost eliminated curvature but just caused painful and smaller erections.  Tried everything I could afford.  Every stupid home remedy you've ever read about on here.  Nothing made any difference. My wife swore she couldn't tell a difference and after a long period of depression I finally accepted it as my new reality.

A few weeks ago I noticed sex didn't hurt.  Then I noticed I could barely feel one of the masses of plaque.  Last week both masses were completely gone and I even am able to pee normally again.  Is this normal?  The cynical pessimistic side of me thinks it will just reappear soon and be even worse than before.  I've racked my brain trying to think of anything I have changed in my lifestyle recently and this is all I can come up with:

1. Started taking Type I collagen for last 6 months.  Not for Peyronies, but for tendon health (having shoulder problems)
2. All but quit drinking about 1 month ago. I haven't been a heavy drinker for 20 years but recently discovered having more than one beer would cause me to have a shingles outbreak almost every single time.  So little to no alcohol in my life now.
3. I know this is TMI but so is almost everything on this forum! Used Ponds Cremas lotion a few times last few weeks. In a small container about the size of a golf ball.  It's a face lotion.  I'm sure this is nothing, but figured it's worth mentioning and maybe there's something in it? If anybody reading this is as desperate as I was then I know you're willing to try anything.

If anybody reads this and has had something similar happen, please comment and share what helped you.

Good luck to all.  I can't begin to explain how relieved and happy I am feeling.

Quote from: Johanw on February 16, 2026, 02:40:27 AMI've had it done five times now - no difference at all.

But for me it's nice to know, before I possibly have surgery later. That way I don't have to think that this could have worked

It cost a total of $39.50.

The clinic claims they see good results. The machine they use is a Chattanooga Intelect f-8w, and costs about $35,000

Total cost of $395.00 of course

I noticed my pain eased when I ate enough calories and kept stress low; fasting sometimes cuts inflammation but can bring pain back if I dip into a deficit.

I believe that. At least the curve hasn't really got any worse so far. I will continue doing the treatments I have and once it's stabilized more then I will see if restorex and other options will benefit. I might start restorex again in a month.

Quote from: MexItali on January 25, 2026, 11:39:50 PMI use a deep tissue massager by Wahl while in traction. I use one of the attachments that helps me apply pressure directly to the plaque. I believe it may be breaking up the plaque and speeding up the recovery process. I don't know how this compares to shockwave since the massager uses vibration. But I do believe that it is helping.

Do you have a picture of how you use it? Is it the full restorex-time, or just a couple of minutes each time?
