Title: 5 years pain anniversary... any advice at this point?
Post by: orriw on January 02, 2023, 01:59:57 PM
It must be in the next days that i will celebratea my 5 years chronic flaccid pain anniversary... hooray!

I never tried VED or Traction, too scared. Visited a few urologists, they could not find anything in ultrasound and MRI, told me just to wait.
I did and it has still not improved, and this point wont improve at its own.

I was quite passive, never tried a lot, tried not to stress too much about it, but of course its frustrating to experience it daily in varying strength. Some days almost no pain, some days more.

The strangest thing is in all this time i could never even find out what definetely triggers it or makes it better. Errections seem to trigger it. And sometimes its just gone (only to come back later) but i do not know why. I also try to find the one magical stretch or position that helps. But what seems to help at one time, has no effect when i try to repeat it.

All i ever tried was Pelvic releases, lots of supplements and Lyrica.

Any advice? Should i try VED or will it make it worse?

I had consistent flaccid pain and erectile pain until I started VED.
Either the pain was on-track to resolve by itself anway, or the VED worked on the pain.
Mild VED could help for sure.

You definitely need to try something. I deal with CPPS and have a tight pelvic floor which doesn't help with dealing with peyronies. You should give VED a try also. Use the protocol here and don't over pump. Also you could benefit from gentle traction with the PMP, or the Restorex if you have a bend. If you keep doing what you are doing you are going to get the same results.

You are right Mikel7. No injury will heal itself after all this time.

I tried to abstain from Sex and masturbation but am with 26 just to horny for it. And if i dont, then errections at night are stronger and i have pain the next day.

Will try VED carefully. Thank you

I'm not even 2 months from onset and 6 weeks from the diagnoses of Peyronies. I am in treatment now. The pain is bothersome daily even just rubbing on the pants doing daily things etc. not to mention any playing around...then hang on for the flair. I cant imagine 5 years of that for you my German friend (ich bin auch deutsch). I can relate however with chronic pain as I had it in my neck (roughly 5th to 6th facet joint in my opinion) for 3+ long horrible years, multiple doctors visits, mri,s, various drugs...gaba even 2 other anti depressants etc...nothing worked..Doctor told me it was all in my head which really pissed me off....I couldn't shake it! Was depressing but one thing I noticed is that my mind would always focus on it no matter what...like a monkey on my shoulder..I even named it! I always wanted an organic excuse for what was going on... That was until I went on Cymbalta! Wasnt for long (few months) but when it kicked in it took the nerve pain or whatever it was away....in the end i went off it and never looked back....sometimes i wonder if it was all in my head after all...a manifest of childhood losses and trauma etc. I wonder if this wouldn't help you....worth a try if you haven't already. I now worry quite a bit about this darn peyronies which is clearly there as I have plaque and i wonder now if that will end up healing and some anxious part of my brain will keep the pain alive for years even though its not really there.....might have to revisit Cymbalta then too.

I've been having flaccid pain for about 3 years and it recently worsened after a tearing feeling I had when looking at porn erect. I've seen several urologists over the past few years who either refer me to someone else, wait or refuse to do any ultrasound or mri. My psychologist suggested it could be a nerve issue which none of my urologists have ever mentioned. I have since looked up pudendal neuralgia and think I may have this bc I've never had a curve. Do you think you could also have this nerve damage?
