Title: New here, excellent forum. I want to ask others about size loss.
Post by: StevePDX on October 06, 2018, 09:01:42 PM
Hello to all. I'm very relieved and happy to have discovered this group.
I want to ask others about excessive loss in size.
My penis was injured in an accident in November, 2017. It felt like a phone book was dropped on it.
It hurt for several days, but I thought it would heal just fine. I noticed problems with errections first. Two months after, I got a prescription for cialis.
At three months I noticed that my penis seemed smaller. Before the injury, I was just at 8 inches long, and 8 inches in circumference at the base, tapering up to 7 inches in circumference towards the top. I loved my size, and I was always grateful that I was gifted in that way.  This all changed, radically.
I developed the hourglass shape, and my penis continued to get smaller. As you all know, it was devastating. My doctor referred me to a urologist, and I finally saw him in June, 2018. He diagnosed peyronies, of course.  Then the next shock.  He told me it would continue to change even more. He informed me it takes about a year or more for the scar tissue to run its course.  Not good news.
Shortly after, I developed a 60 degree curve dorsally, and it curves upward towards my stomach. More shrinkage. My penis is now 4.7 inches long, and a LOT thinner in circumference. I'm actually afraid to measure that, but it's much thinner, and disproportionately deformed.
I've seen 3 specialists by now. They all recommended the penile implant, which they will do this December.
Of all the research I've done on this, I can't find anywhere of a man losing more than 2 inches.
I'm not sure if it's going to continue to shrink, but when flacid, I look like I did when I was 10. I'm also now a half inch shorter than the national average of 5.2. Wow.
Now I see that an implant can cause further shrinkage. Again, wow.
I was also told that my surgery will take twice as long to perform due to the excessive scar tissue that I have.
Is there anyone out there that has lost anywhere near the inches I've lost, and anyone with similar experience?  I could really use the advice from you guys on all of this, and I will gladly answer any questions.
One more thing...I want to be a part of a crusade to get the word DISEASE out of this diagnosis. They need to call it a condition, or syndrome, or anything besides disease since this is not a disease. It's outrageous to call it this because a disease is cancer, leprosy, measles, etc.  I'd also like to know what you all think of that.  Thank you all so much, not just in advance, but for making this site and contributing to it.  I'm glad to know I'm one of many who continue to try to get through this.

Hi Steve, not any use, but you have the biggest loss i've heard of, Traction and VED should get some back, but how much no idea, seems the bigger penis you start with the bigger loss you get (maybe).

Hi Steve, def do traction and VED daily before surgery to regain any loss you can before they size you fir an implant.  Also, be sure to go to a high volume implant doc as studies show they safely size larger than low volume docs.  In my opinion Dr Eid (not my doc)!takes the most precautions to ensure to maximize size.
