Title: Testosterone Supplements
Post by: Godisreal on December 03, 2019, 07:58:03 AM
Hey people, as a guy who's under 21 years old I can't help but to think about testosterone-supplements in treatment for Peyronie's. I believe I'm still growing psychically and I have a good level of testosterone. Could additional supplements with testosterone be beneficial in treating peyronies? What do you guys think? I've heard people here trying it out, but it didn't do anything since they are much older than me, for example.
I've heard testosterone having an important role in wound healing and so on.
Please tell me your thoughts. Could testosterone supplements be beneficial for someone under 21 with Peyronie's?
God bless

Low T is suspected in contributing to vulnerability to peyronies.  You'd have to get your hormone levels checked b4 supplementing safely,

Where can I get that checked? My local doc? If so, I will get my hormone levels checked as I ask for cialis prescription.

It's good to have your hormone levels checked, but don't believe the hype from a couple years ago. By that I mean that TRT (testosterone replacement theraphy) has been kind of a "trend". A couple of years ago many people over-emphatised the importance of testosterone for basically anything from low sex drive to depression. There has been research to support some of these statements, but it's easy to get lost in all the information out there and think that there is something wrong with you if your levels aren't in the high-average range. In reality you only have hypogonadism and would truly benefit from TRT if your levels are below normal. For example, my total testosterone was about 400 to 500 ng/dl and I used to obsess about how "low" these numbers are to the point where I decided to inject myself cause no doctor wanted to treat me for it. When I started the injections I was also about 21 years of age and I was convinced it would help me with my depression and sexual problems. In reality all it did was give me more muscle mass, but mentally I was still a wreck and my penis didn't heal even though my levels where high-average troughout the whole period I was using testosterone. I also took an aromatase inhibitor and hcg so estrogen and reduced testicular function weren't an issue with me. Right now I'm not using anything and looking back I think it would've been better for me to just live healthy and not worry about my exact levels, cause more testosterone didn't change my problems and it may have even left me with lower levels right now (though I'm not sure cause I haven't tested them anymore and I won't simply because I don't want to get in that cycle anymore and I wanna be natural now). So long story short, unless a doctor diagnosed you with true hypogonadism, testosterone isn't worth it.

Thank you for a great recap, popopo. I'll stay off testosterone unless I end up needing it, but I bet that risk is pretty high right now since I'm a depressed sack of crap
Anyway, this is completely off topic, but I read in one of your posts that you smoke weed for depression. How does it work out for you? I'm an occasional smoker myself, but I haven't speculated on it's potential in treating clinical depression.
Btw don't make a comment on me smoking weed while having "Godisreal" as username. I'm not your average Christian :)
Thanks

I have what I consider a moderate dependency on weed. I have kind of a love/hate relationsship with it. I feel like it has been a way to calm me down when I was really angry, depressed or both, but I might have been better off never using it. I have been off weed for a while and life felt more boring. Right now I allow myself to smoke at night and try not to during the day. I'm thinking of quitting both weed and cigarettes though. Smoking has been a way to relief stress for me, but for bloodflow, endurance and overall health it would be better to stop.

I'd def start by quitting cigarettes, if needed vaping is much safer than smoking cigs.  Unless weed is problematic for you it's much less toxic compared to tobacco.

There are few people who can smoke long term without any impact on their health.
If you want to consume weed in a more "healthy" way you can use edibles or vapes which can be used at low temperatures.

Few people who can smoke weed long term without health problems?  Any medical studies support this?  I do agree vaping and edibles are the safest way tho...

Simple logic tells me that anything you burn and inhale at high temperatures, even more so known toxic substances, will create health problems, short term and surely long term.
Should be common sense.. no need to search for medical studies. Is there a study that's supporting water is wet? ::)

You just said it as if it was a fact, not your opinion...that's why I asked.

Wrong. Weed helps. No tobacco.

its very interesting that 2 months ago you were 3 years younger. hm, what can that mean, apparently someone using his age to gain authority (ex: im younger than you therefore you dont have a monopoly and mental struggle) etc.

Testosterone supplementation treatment in men who don't need it is extremely dangerous, especially in men over 40, and can cause prostate cancer.

Testosterone isn't actually that dangerous when we're talking replacement doses. New evidence suggest testosterone doesn't cause prostate cancer although estrogen and DHT may have some impact. But if you already have cancer testosterone can accelerate it. Not a 100% sure, but I do know the opinion on testosterone causing cancer has changed. The biggest problem is that it will shut down your own production and your fertility. Another side effect on high dose is high red blood cell count and again a lot of sides if estrogen is not in check. But at a TRT dose you will not have a problem shutting down cause like they say it is for life. Fertiliy can be restored with hcg or quitting trt for a while. And on a low trt dose you risk very little sides and if you inject at least twice a week you will most likely not run into estrogen issues even without taking aromatase inhibitors (which you should try to avoid). A good protocol can actually make you healthier rather than cause illness, but there are a lot of incompetent doctors that use improper protocols and of course the bodybuilding community has ruined the reputation of testosterone as well.

You're very young, so I'd suggest you Tamoxifen or Clomid. Both drugs will force your balls to produce more testosterone.
Clomid has nasty side effects, so Tamoxifen is better.
