Title: Deciding whether or not to try tadalafil again
Post by: Alias018 on February 21, 2024, 02:58:33 PM
So last week I had my 1st meeting with my urologist, he did a physical exam and prostate check and wasn't able to confirm anything however he said I may have peyronies in the early/acute phase, and although my symptomns are unusual it doesn't appear to show early signs of penile cancer.

One thing I asked was whether I should try taking tadalafil again. I took 5mg of tadalafil a day about 2 months ago and after about 9 days I had some blurry vision in the bottom left corner of my left eye so I stopped immediately.

It got 90% better the next day and after a week I was 100% normal again. My urologist said that taking tadalafil again is a decision that I would have to make based off if I think it's something I need to do, and that usually he recommends people try sildenafil first before tadalafil.

Im afraid of the risk of permanent sight damage or even sight loss in an eye, but the effects of tadalafil were very beneficial when I did take it (normal flaccid size/hang, easy erections again)

So if anyone has any thoughts on my position I would be happy to hear them, thanks.

It is a known fact of the benefits of these drugs. After your first experience with tadalafil did you get into an ophthalmologist to have your eyes checked? They will check your optic never and blood flow.

Indeed, no unfortunately I did not Mikel mainly due to the expected time for this (U.K.)

To do so I would have had to gone to my gp and called for an appointment which usually takes around 3 months, and who would then decide whether whether this merited an appointment with an ophthalmologist which could be 3 months or more.

However I am interested in trying tadalafil again, I have booked in an appointment to have my eyes checked by an optometrist next week, and to have an OCT eye scan which I belive provides them with a picture of your eyes retinas.

Hopefully I can gain some insight from this to aid my decision.

That is wise to do. You don't want to damage your eyes just because of a possible side effect of any drug.
