Title: Replicel tissue re engineering
Post by: swiss on August 20, 2017, 10:11:46 AM
Replicel has been around for a while. They are backed by a pretty big company called Shiesido. They are working on a balding cure, but also are working on regenerating tendons- which I'm not sure if their tech could be applied to peyronies on that front. Thoughts?

My thoughts are that there are many many treatments on their way. In some countries will be available sooner as that one you are referring to. It will be available in 2018 in Japan, but it still on trial in USA. The same about a treatment capable of improving lives of people who are suffering from spinal injury..the Japanese company involved declared it's ready to commercialise it. Something good might come from one of these countries in which the laws are softer..

Sounds interesting Jack1909, can you provide us some more information about the doctors and companies working on this? I only know of Wake Forest working on tissue regeneration.

Which one you are referring to? Nipro is the company willing to commercialize the spinal treatment..
About Shiseido, you can find many articles on internet..
Btw the companies working on regenerative medicine and tissue regeneretion are countless..it's pretty evident to me that medicine is on the verge of its major change ever. The only question is when..

Sounds good, maybe we can mail some of these companies to ask if they could one day regenerate penile tissue too and when. Hope it won't be too long

I do rely on Japan. It changed its laws in order to get an easier access to regenerative medicine treatments so basically it might happen faster than in other countries. The problem is that Japanese people do not suffer from Peyronies Disease disease but they must suffer from ED, at least that one deriving from other conditions...
That might mean ED treatments soon and even if they are not tailored to Peyronies Disease they could possibly improve it just promoting some kind of regeneration..
