Title: Keto diet guidelines question
Post by: samsung on October 04, 2019, 07:31:22 AM
I've been on Paleo before. It involved a ton of reading which I do not wish to repeat. I basically do paleo/keto now but I eat fruit and occasionally eat processed meats and stuff like that.

Is there a way to do keto without spending my life on the internet? Like if I just eat veg.+MCT oil and chicken and avocados and stuff? Obviously avoid all sugar, bread, etc.

Don't want to spend life weighing food and analyzing macronutrients and all that. Recipe for failure. I know keto is supposed to be some perfect ratio of fats to protein, blah, blah. But if has to be perfect then I will perfectly fail.

It's all about the net carbs (total g carbs minus g fiber), tryin to keep it between 20-50g a day.  You will ha r yo learn what goods to avoid, including most fruits.  An alternative is eating whatever you want but only between a 6-8 hrs in a day, and only non caloric fluids the rest of the day. Intermittent fasting has many of the same benefits of Keto, just stay hydrated (no "dry" fasting).
