For me it's been ~6 months since first lump appeared (I've got two: first one december 2013, second one april 2014). Some weeks ago I could feel them like fluffy yet well formed.
These last days they feel smaller but harder when palpated.
Is this already the beginning of the chronic phase? Thank you very much.
I personally believe the acute/chronic stage thing is myth. I seem to have inactive and progressive stages, and the disease flips between the two whenever it bloodywell feels like it. With Peyronies Disease being a very subjective disease I think it works slightly differently for everybody.

All the papers I've read state there's an acute phase lasting from 6 to 18 months (some authors say 6-12, others say 12-18, etc). But, honestly, I do take into account your experiences as much as those documents.
Well, this afternoon they made me an ultrasound and the oldest lump is already calcified. It has evolved into some kind of hard string with the original lump being smaller than in the beginning.
The other one (dorsal, centered and near the glans) is provoking me moderate to severe pain when on maximum erection.
My main concern right now is how is this going to evolve reading these signs. I'm genuinely scared of how this will end :( Will I be one of those lucky 14% that see the disease fade away? Will it stop here? Will it improve if prescribed pentox or will it go worse?
I read too much buzz, too much information, but as you say: it works differently for everybody.
PS: I do love Wales. I spent what was probably the happiest and most rewarding period of my life while living and working there.
The urologists are putting the acute stage at 12 to 18 months mark.
By that time the Peyronies symptoms suppose to stabilize.
My opinion is as welshwales opinion, and that what I had.
Acute, stable, acute and stable again. In stable stage, can start again acute stage any time, from no logic reason.

I think that Peyronies Disease could/should be broken down into subtypes, so that urologists don't just say "let's leave it alone and see what happens once it stabalises". It should be treated at the earliest possible opportunity, before things like venous leakage and ED become a problem. There are guys who seem to follow the classical signs of the disease with it stabilising after 12-18 months. But there seem to be plenty of men who experience instability for years. It's been over three years since my symptoms first manifested, and the disease is still progressing with new lumps developing fairly regularly.
