Title: Your Surgery with Dr. Levine
Post by: Moneer on January 20, 2013, 04:02:22 AM
Hi All,

Would appreciate if anyone here had penile curvature correction surgery by Dr. Levine.

If so, can you please advise on:

1. General outcome and satisfaction
2. Congenital or acquired?
3. Upward or Downward
4. Curvature angle
5. Used absorbable or non-absorbable sutures

Many thanks

Hi Iwillisjr,

Thank you for the reply, and I've read your complete story and was very happy to hear you had a positive outcome. I'm guessing since you had excision&grafting then you did not use non-absorbable sutures. Right?

Thanks again.

I doubt it but to be honest I don't know. I just know I am very pleased with the final result.

lwillisjr,

When I spoke with my surgeon, he pretty much guaranteed that he could fix the bend but he also pretty much guaranteed my erections are gonna be much weaker. What have your erections been like since after the surgery vs. pre-surgery?

no difference. erections are firm before and after. Levine said the surgery shouldn't impact any part of my penis involved with the process of causing an erection. the surgery in my case was on the tunica which doesn't affect blood flow. he was correct.

lwillisjr, thanks for that info.

What did your doctor do in order to determine where exactly the plaque was? Ultrasound?

My erections are no where near where they were before Peyronie's so I'm not sure where exactly the plaque is relation to my penis' ability to maintain a strong erection.

Any advice?

Yes, Dr. Levine always does a full color dopplar ultrsound to determine the location and degree of calcification.

Makes good sense. I'm hoping to see Dr. Lue soon and I hear that he does the same. Thanks again.
