Title: How has pentox helped or improved your situation?
Post by: Kobegianna on June 10, 2021, 04:16:13 PM
Just wondering if anyone on here's has any actual improvements from using pentox. Like any noticeable change in pain, erection, curve etc? I have been taking it for about 2 months. No real side effects. I even take them on empty stomach in the morning. I actually can feel the blood flowing more in my legs and arms like a tingling feeling. But other then that not much.

Can't really say it's helped my erection because I been taking cialis too. I'm thinking about stopping pentox because it seems like it's not doing much and I dont want any long terms side effects.

For all the people that's been taking it for awhile could you let me know what you are feeling and in what way it's helped or improved your situation?

I think since most people take Pentox in conjunction with other nonsurgical treatments, it's really hard to say whether Pentox did anything as a monotherapy. I will say that it is best to take it with food! I use to get stomach aches if I didn't and I heard similar reports from others on here.

On a side note, there is some skepticism whether Pentox is a worthwhile therapy at all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YijFo1Qbtfg (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YijFo1Qbtfg). Dr. Levine and other Peyronies Disease specialists does still prescribe it though.

Yea the longer I do research and read through this forum I don't know what to think. I was doing ved and manual traction for a bit. But stopped because I thought I was getting worse. But started up back with ved. Just because blood flow = good lol.

But I just had a virtual consult with Dr Trost and he said there is really no evidence that ved does anything for hour glassing. Also he says ved causes or may cause venous leakage. Thus not worth the risk?

So now I guess the only thing is traction?

I'm just really lost and depressed to be honest with ya.

Sometimes I wish my penis just just completely wrecked and twisted with no erectile function so I can just get the implant. Rather than it sometimes works. Or when it works it might get damaged more. It's like you are living in constant fear.

Definitely device traction is the best nonsurgical treatment we have! You also have to remember that Dr. Trost is a very very evidence-based kind of doctor. So unless there are reliable studies showing VED's effectiveness in Peyronies Disease patients, he's not gonna recommend it. I don't understand how VED can cause venous leak though. Granted, I've never been an advocate for VED therapy so I might be missing some details but that sounds very strange.

Something about forcing the blood through will mess with the valve mechanism. He also said the healthy areas will get enogorged with blood but not necessarily the areas that are constricted. Basically saying you are over stretching the healthy areas possibly causing more damage

I definitely feel that VED took me from a very minor case of Peyronies Disease to a possibly (still getting worse) severe case.

I had severe gastritis and diarrhea when I took pentox. I could never get to the prescribed frequency of 3x daily because the discomfort was miserable. I could not tell any difference taking or not taking it.
