Title: RestoreX: foreskin injury, clamp questions
Post by: WernerDrops on September 24, 2022, 02:07:14 PM
Hi, guys!

I started using RestoreX 2 days ago, but clamping has been a nightmare for me. I got an injury on the foreskin, since it's impossible for it to be completely pulled out on the front side, when it's clamped down, so I usually feel a pinch in that area. Even clamping down the sides of the glans (bend to the right) and even pulling out the foreskin to wrap the bandage, I still feel that pinch in this area, probably for having used the device wrong the first time and for having "tolerated" the pinch while giving traction to the penis. Now I know that pain should not be part of the process, and that I should have stopped using it and repositioned the penis. I have two questions:

1. How long should I stop using the device before starting off again gently? A couple of days? My foreskin is red, and there was very little bleed on the tape this morning; it's also slightly painful when I touch it. Do you guys think I might have injured the inside tissues as well, is it possible? (The skin is really dry but I'm using Cicaplast on medical recommendation).

2. This relates to my last question: we are, in a way, supposed to clamp the "shaft", right? At least the end of the penis shaft, I guess. According to the manual, the clamp ridges should be placed immediately behind the corona, and according to anatomy pictures I've found online, the shaft immediately connects to the glans, there's no in-between underneath "tissue". I'm assuming we're supposed to clamp the foresking area, just before the glans, right? My doctor said it was fine to clamp down that part. One final question: while clamping down, how to safely know where the glans ends when it's all wrapped up?

I'm feeling really depressed since I was only able to have 1 succesful session (painless) so far.

Best regards.

Hey Restorex.

You shouldn't be going through any injury or significant pain whilst using the device. For now, stop using the device until the wound heals and all the pain and discomfort subside. Then, look online for makeup pads. They greatly improve comfort. I could not use the device without them and found the tape too cumbersome to use and i disliked how it adhered to my penis making it painful to remove.

Also check the link above for pictures of my ordeal and where to clamp.

Thanks, Pfract! I just ordered the make up pads. After recovery, I'll try them without wrapping, so I can see exactly how my penis is being clamped down. I was using the device like in the picture here, but I guess the wrapping layer was too thin.

I'm worried about having clamped the shaft (fear of another deformity): does the picture look fine (the clamping)? I followed the manual picture.

If it makes you feel any better I also got a blister on the actual glans when I wrapped it and then clamped down upon it. It took months to heal. But it can happen over time!

I recommend using the makeup sponges without any wrapping. It is a bit difficult to see from the picture but make sure you fit the bottom part of the clamp just on or below the lower part of the glans. Also make sure that the skin is not being stretched in any way while using the device as that can also lead to further injuries. Wrapping can also lead to the skin drying up, which can increase the likelihood of tearing it, so I would also consider moisturising it with some sort of oil in between the sessions. But do not do that while those injuries are still healing.

Just a few suggestions, hope that makes sense!

Thanks, FlatteningTheCurve. It is indeed reassuring to hear that it might really happen. It's much better now, not sore anymore, but the skin is still recovering. I guess I used too much traction on my first day, but my glans skin is usually very sensitive. I'm using Cicaplast.

I'll try the makeup pads without wrapping, that seems to be a game changer for most users. I did clamp down below the glans, but the first two times using the device I didn't completely pull back the foreskin, hence the injury, increased by the traction itself. With the sponges, I'll also be able to see exactly where I'll clamp. The rather rudimentary figure in the manual seems to indicate that the foreskin area is safe to be clamped down, but I'll also try clamping down the glans ridge.

Thanks for the suggestions!

One thing that I do that's helpful is use aloe vera gel morning and before bed at night on the clamped area. In addition to the makeup pads, and a tissue to keep things sliding nicely *smile*. No injuries, and the aloe vera keeps things nice and soothed. I have other uses for aloe vera, so I just tried it at one point, and liked it.
