Title: How bad is it? With photos
Post by: user1825 on April 22, 2023, 02:48:14 AM
I've always had a slightly upward curved penis.  A year ago the curvature got worse There was also a 20 degree bend to the left .

I went to the urologist, he sees a change in the ultrasound.  But he thinks sex is still possible with my curvature.  I'm not so sure if I measured that correctly it's 40 degrees. Additionally I have a new notch on the shaft, is this the start of an hourglass shape? What do you think?  How many degrees is that and is sex still possible?

Here is the link for measuring your penis -->Measuring Curvature (https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,4760.msg54809.html#msg54809) . So I think think it looks like you have a congenital curve and sex is possible. The slight dent that you have is probably just that, a slight dent and not hour glassing. If it encircled your penis and is unstable at that point then it would be.

So what change did the urologist find in your ultrasound?

I didn't overlay protractor on your image, but guessing it does appear to be 35-40 degrees. The instructions Mikel7 suggested will offer a more precise measurement.

I can tell you from personal experience that 40 degrees is getting borderline uncomfortable. You have 2 things in your favor.
1. An upward curve is a bit easier to deal with (downward curves being more challenging.
2. Congenital curves due to their geometry are easier to deal with then an acute Peyronies curve.

Thank you for your message.
Maybe I do not have a good picture or I measure wrong, but I also come a curvature of 40-55 degrees....
Before it was already curved but it was very slightly upwards, now it has increased this curvature by this disease.
The urologist said you can not see any calcification yet, but you can see that the tissue is contracting. He has seen light white spots in the ultrasound.
At the moment it is still "flexible" in the front, I can straighten it with a little force.

Yes but I used to have a slight curve but now it has become quite severe. I do not know if I have a congenital curve. Why do you think that would be better? Because this disease only affects the front part of my penis?

Your curvature definitely does not impair sex. Maybe you should be a bit careful, but I would not push to be operated because of this. Maybe you want to try traction or VED r even do nothing and keep an eye on it.

Hello,

The curve doesn't look all that bad to me.  Why not just keep an eye on it for a few months and relax a bit?  Any pain?

There's also an app in the iOS store called Peyronie's Self-Assessment.  It's a little tricky, the first time I scanned myself I got it in one shot!  Then I accidentally deleted the scan and haven't been able to repeat the perfect shot.  I keep trying though.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your answers. It really helps to know that one is not alone in this. Yes, I have been observing it for some time, but it seems to be getting worse again. In the latest photo, it looks as if the upward curvature is getting worse. All of this is very frustrating. As long as I can still have sex, everything is okay. But unfortunately, I no longer believe in that, and I would also like to avoid surgery.
At the moment, I am taking 2 tablets of Peyflog twice a day, a dietary supplement for antioxidants. Who knows if it helps... But at least you have the feeling that you are trying something.

looks on that pic like you have gained at least an inch in girth.

I think that it's an illusion of perspective. I've been measuring the circumference from the beginning, and so far, it fortunately seems to have remained the same.

To me it looks less curved in the updated pic.

Sometimes I don't always get the same shot in my photo diary although I always take it in the same spot in the house with the same background.
