Title: What level of traction to start with?
Post by: Cassovo on July 11, 2014, 02:43:13 PM
What are your guys' opinions on how much traction to start with?
How many rest days should I incorporate?

I am about to receive my 1800g tension spring device.

My current plan:

Week 1: 300g for 1 hr at a time
Week 2: 300g for 2 hr
Week 3: 300g for 3 h
4: 300 for 4

MONTH 2
Week 5: 600g for 5 hr
6: 600 for 6 hr
7: 600 for 7 hr
8: 600 for 8 hr

Month 3
Weeks 9-12: 900g for 8hr

Month 4: 1200 for 8hr
Etc. etc.

Does this schedule sound too aggressive?

That is actually a very conservative schedule, so it will be very safe for you.

I would suggest testing the tension of your device at various points (hopefully it has markings), as they don't always match up to specs.
