Title: Recommendations for UK surgeon (need second opinion)
Post by: MarkDS on June 17, 2019, 03:10:05 AM
Well, 5 weeks post op and I'm still less than 5 inches (2 inch loss), lost girth and have a 45 degree bend.  Things aren't looking good.

Follow up appointment with the surgeon (Mr Rowland Rees) tomorrow, so will be interesting to see what he says.

My medical insurance expires in December when I am made redundant.  So time is not on my side.   Not sure what the NHS would offer 😞

Dreading my doctor is going to recommend further surgery, I feel as though I need a second opinion before going under the knife again.  So any recommendation for a surgeon in the UK?

Has nobody in the Uk had successful surgery that could recommend a surgeon?

I don't know much about Dr Garrafa from this video, but if he is associated with Dr Yafi, I'd look him up

Mark - I had surgery in London but I don't recommend the surgeon (Kuehhas.) I don't think he practices in London any more anyway - think he limits his practice to Vienna.

I know that doesn't help but that is the only UK connection I have. Hope you are finding some good options.
