Title: Ginger vs citrulline / cialis: totally different
Post by: mrmiyagi on January 11, 2020, 11:55:55 AM
after reading an old discussion here I thought I'd try switching from the "warming" of nitric oxide to the "cooling" of whatever ginger is doing. Man, this is crazy. Flaccid feels improved in a "different" way than cialis, and it feels like it's being gently cooled, but not in a way that is like low blood flow and just lacking circulation. Very interesting.

I'm sorry but you lost me.  How do you warm nitric oxide and how do you use "cooled ginger"?  You alluded to ginger doing something. What is ginger doing?

The point is that nitric oxide and ginger seem to accomplish better circulation but with very different styles. I am wondering if they are complementary or antagonistic. To me citrulline is fairly neutral feeling in terms of temperature, while cialis creates a "warm flush" feeling and ginger feels like inflammation is being cooled away. Since cialis has positive studies it's probably fine, but the ginger feeling did make me wonder if nitric oxide may aggravate some situations more than it helps.

Ginger is great on gingerbread.

I would have to say the Samsung just made the most logical post in this topic.

Your hot/cold take is Interesting! Please get a bit deeper on how you mean that. Obviously "hot" is often associated with inflamation.

QuoteNitric oxide (NO) is a signaling molecule that plays a key role in the pathogenesis of inflammation. It gives an anti-inflammatory effect under normal physiological conditions. On the other hand, NO is considered as a pro-inflammatory mediator that induces inflammation due to over production in abnormal situations.

I would guess in low doses cialis is great but obviously if you have chronically high elevated NO levels, it might be bad..
The whole NO thing is that it opens up the tissue/smooth muscle to ->allow blood to flow in.

Ginger thins the blood which could allow it to "flow more smoothly" but it's also said to start "nitric oxide synthase"(iNOS). It acts different pathways.
QuoteBy counteracting fibrosis that impairs cavernosal smooth muscle compliance, iNOS would protect the erectile tissue.

Be careful with using both(cialis has a rather long half life!) btw. Nontheless maybe alternating both might also be a good idea? Like you know heated muscles and then an ice bath is great for tissues.

Melting, I am taking 1200mg of L-Citruline with Pycnogenol and 5mg Cialis before bedtime to induce NTE's. Two nights ago I only took L-Cit and Pyc with no Cialis and still had decent NTE's after having 0 (or at least pathetic ones) for years.

Would this be good or bad? Also, can you or someone summarize the article in the second link you posted?

Thanks,

NTE's are always good as long as you don't get priapism which is unlikely.

The best and cheapest way to NTE's is 1/2 of a 50 mg Trazadone taken at bedtime with a light snack.  It costs a couple of cents a dose.  Your doctor might prescribe it for NTE's but it is easier to get if you tell them you want it to help you sleep since it helps with that as well.  It will not likely help with daytime erections like Cialis and other PDE5 inhibitors.

The less chemical help you need to get an erection the better I would say, generally, to avoid dependency and need for more. Of course you might use the cialis to achieve other health benefits..
I can't summarize the study, it just gives an indicator what effect ginger has on erections (iNOS) and that it is a good effect.

Much appreciated.
