Post by: nofear on February 21, 2018, 09:50:06 AM
Hi GUYS, it's possible treatment with Xiaflex for hourglass deformity?  I have a deformity at the base of my penis but no curve.

I've heard yes and no, but insurance may not approve w/o curve.  Have you tried VED and traction both of which sometimes help.

I've heard the same on here. Yes and no. I had hourglassing but I can't say for sure if xiaflex alone helped. VED doesn't sit well with me. Keep in mind I'm not very familiar with them. My hourglassing is gone with a slight indentation left. Xiaflex, traction, hand modeling and generic viagra is my treatment plan. I like the idea of generic viagra for blood flow vs VED. My two cents.

It was on the underside. Curvature was to the right, 40 degree bend with indentation near the base. It was pretty severe. Kinda just looked twisted and pulled in different directions. The only ved I used, medical grade and expensive, just had a round cylinder. When pressed up against the fat pad/pelvis, there wasn't anything to allow the plumbing(for lack of better term) from the scrottum to the penis through ,like the pelvic rings of traction devices. I understand why it wouldn't work but it didn't feel comfortable and my girth would fill up the cylinder before much length was achieved. Traction and hand modeling feels safer and makes sense to me. Penis is flaccid when it's healing and when plaque forms. Makes sense to break it up/stretch it out in the flaccid form. Now, if you're having ED issues, then maybe that's when ved might be more useful? Someone else with more experience would have to answer that for ya.

Best of luck to you.
