Post by: Hontas on November 21, 2018, 11:17:15 PM
Has anyone used it here before? I would like to get your inputs about this med it looks like it has really serious almost lethal side effects even though i am not one to complain about the side effects, this looks bad. But if it helps it helps and i wanna know if it did in your case?

Isn't that an estrogen medication? Why would you take that

it is used for treating peyronies. they have some literature on it. Dont know how the process works. Also considering i am suffering from high estrogen and prolactin it might be helpful. Also, if there is a specifically prolactin inhibitor i would maybe try that one.

Tamoxifen - early peyronies studies but not much came of it.  I'd go w the more proven strategies.

There may be a synergistic effect when combining Vardenafil and Tamoxifen.

Antifibrotic Synergy Between Phosphodiesterase Type 5 Inhibitors and Selective Oestrogen Receptor Modulators in Peyronie's Disease Models

"The new assay was able to detect transforming growth factor-β1–induced myofibroblast transformation. Using this assay, phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5i) and selective oestrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) were identified to significantly inhibit myofibroblast transformation. A PDE5i (vardenafil) and an SERM (tamoxifen) inhibited myofibroblast transformation, collagen gel contraction, and extracellular matrix production in a synergistic fashion. In a rat model of Peyronies Disease, the antifibrotic effect of the combination of vardenafil and tamoxifen was greater than that of each drug alone."

I did use tamoxifen for bodybuilding purposes. I used it for about 6 weeks, 40mg the first four weeks and 20mg the last 2 weeks.

It didn't do much at all in terms of improving curvature or improving symptoms. However, there was a study which found 3 months of use at 40mg per day reduced curvature (although less than ACL).

Just be aware that some people lose their libido on tamoxifen and have ED while on the drugs (for others it can be the opposite case).

Cheers,
JJ

Tamoxifen is more used for ER-positive breast cancer. Lol.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1486392 - The treatment of Peyronie's disease with tamoxifen.

Tamoxifen is used for many conditions. It's even used by bodybuilders in their post cycle therapy.

It really sounds like -- if one were going to try it at all -- you would want to give it a go in combination with a PDE5 inhibitor.

Interesting study.

Are there others you found?

I have been taking 20mg tamoxifen twice a day, along with 5-7.5mg of cialis (tadarise), 1200mg of spirulina and 400mg of biotin (yes milligrams, it's not a typo). Hopefully they have a synergistic effect.

Dude just make sure you are not prone to heart attacks as i feel like that mix of tamoxifen and cialis looks dangerous.

I wouldn't mess with tamoxifen. I developed floaters from clomid which is a very similar drug. If I would take anything (for high estrogen, not peyronies) it would be Aromasin. Works a little different, but prevents your testosterone from converting to estrogen. Anyway, if you have hormone problems it might be best for you to get to a good doctor to get you on real TRT. Other than that all you can try to do to battle high estrogen is stay in shape and get enough zinc, magnesium and vitamin D. If you're overweight it can cause your testosterone to convert more to estrogen, but I don't know you so it might also be genetic, but even then there are some things to battle higj estrogen. If it's any good for peyronies I don't know. I've been on testosterone for a while myself and don't notice much difference than being natural other than muscle AND fat gain which happened way faster on testosterone. Naturally my levels are low-average, but appearantly my peyronies isn't caused by that nor does it get better on a high T level, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
