Title: Optimum size for VED tube
Post by: Inquisitive_Bent on April 24, 2017, 10:50:19 PM
For the three differing diameter VED  tubes what is the optimum sizes based on penis diameter?
e.g. if I'm 2 inches in diameter (based on max girth measured near base) would the optimum three sizes be 1.75 inches, 2 inches and 2.25 inches.

Is quarter of an inch too much?
Alternatively should this be based on my minimum girth?
Will this depend on my symptoms bottle-necking / bend?

Using a cylinder that is much smaller than your girth is a very bad idea. Doing so caused me extra damage and I would nto like to see anyone else make the same mistake I did.

I would encourage you to PM member OldMan for a suggestion on tube sizes.

I notice that the three cylinder model web site states 2.25 inches up to 2.5 as the diameter range (it does not give the three individual sizes). Does that mean that the cylinders are only an eighth of an inch different in diameter?

I'm asking as I would like to buy / make cylinders (rather than purchase the three cylinder model) and would like to know what sizes would be best / optimal for me.

I could PM Old Man but think that this is such a critical question that this should be answered on the open forum (based on user experience) and not be via PM's
Thanks

Oldman is the best person to answer this question.

Yes, I agree that Old Man is the best to answer this question.
He like to work by PM's, but I am sure he will post on this topic also :)

Old Man has PM'ed suggesting that I contact the supplier. I do appreciate his prompt response but...
I would VERY MUCH prefer the thoughts from this forum (based on users experience) rather than trust a supplier with invested interest.
I'm also interested in tube size for correction of hourglass and bending as opposed to ED.

I'm hoping for lots of posts from experienced VED users as I think it should be a recommendation in the 26 week protocol.
Should this be set up as a poll in order to get some response as to the optimum size/s?

I would be interested in this answer as well. It seems the different tubes might be effective for different problems. (And my problems are also specifically bend and dent.)

I've summarized the results of all of the PM's I've received re the optimum size for a VED tube/s

The results are:
The optimum size is the same size as the middle cylinder - for those using the three cylinder protocol.

This makes sense to me as the smaller cylinder will slightly stretch the length and the largest cylinder will slightly stretch the girth (assuming that you are pumping to 50% - being half way between flaccid and erect lengths)
Unfortunately the sample size for the summary was only one - so this may not be a good average for all !!!

If you would like to either reply to this post or PM me with your cylinder size/s and either your girth or diameter (in either inches or centimeters) then I'll summarize and re-post.
NB rather than measuring girth with dental floss or a piece of string, I borrowed my wife's flexible material sewing tape measure that works a treat wrapped around the largest part.
Skunkworks has mentioned that too small is not safe - I would like to know what is "too small"

Can successful users of VED please let me know what their tube size/s and girth measurements are so that we as a forum can recommend what is not safe and what is effective?

Please respond - thanks

Good question. Any follow up on sizing?  I'd like to buy one this week and debating 1 cylinder vs 3. And not sure which brand. Been reading all of the helpful posts, but can be daunting.

What is the average length for the most popular VED tubes?  I found most maxed at 20-22cm. If someone is around 8-8.5' 100% erect, it would seem too tight, especially if growth occurs. I think I saw a replacement Osborn cylinder that goes up to 9-9.5" and wider girth. Do other models/companies have this too? I may call Augusta medical tomorrow. I'm more length than girth, maybe 5.5" mid girth after symptoms. Base might be a bit girthier. The concern is if one might increase length, then want to make sure there is some room to grow perhaps!

Then again, I will reread protocol. If not pumping to 100% erection then there is much more room.

Any help would be extremely appreciated. Just curious on how this all works.  Might have to PM Old man, the resident wise man pertaining to all things VED. What a great resource this is. Really cant thank everyone enough on here. Looking back at years of archived posts shows me the commitment here. The trailblazing and pioneering attitude I see in just about everyone who posts makes me feel better when I get down about this stuff. All the best to you all.
