Title: Should I find a new urologist?
Post by: Trapper on January 17, 2023, 11:48:48 PM
Hey guys,

Since my latest injury in November I have been all over the place sometimes my deformity is hardly noticeable other times it looks normal but I can always feel the tissue different. Here is my current uros dignosis:

"After 10 units of full strength trimix was injected penile Doppler ultrasound was performed. The patient had normal arterial inflow without a venous leak. There is a calcified plaque midshaft but outside of very subtle narrowing on the left."

He says since I get erections on my current regimen just fine so follow up on a year. However, my current regimen is mostly just cialis and if it's a 911 and that doesn't work it's Trimix for sex of a low dose 8-10 units. I haven't been having sex because I'm so depressed over this to date to be fair I was depressed/stressed before it due to a relationship ending and risky sexual behaviors that led to the injury so my depression is probably making it worse because I am less active which has been shown to cause cardiac problems. I have also been taking cialis 20 mg daily because I'm terrified of losing size I watch a lot of like sph porn but it's just fantasy and would not want to be that in real life or have a real partner do it but maybe that is messing with my perception of my dick? I measure every day and it's pretty much the same so far 7 inch BPL 5.75 girth. I was just really happy with my dick before this and now my urologist wants to wait a YEAR to recheck? My mental health is deteriorating and I think my physical too because I have no energy to do things and lay around working remote and us nicotine pouches constantly and like I said 20 mg Tadalafil daily. I workout 5x a week usually but have noticed my cardio go to hell been dizzier and a little Short of breath.

I asked Dr. EID on the forum and he tells me wait 3-6 months. I feel like if that's really the best thing to do I need to do something in the meantime so I've been trying traction with mixed results sometimes it makes me better other times it seems to make me worse I assume I counterbend to the right? But I don't know I wish I had a urologist I could get more guidance on it from a supervising physician because mines not responsive enough to discuss.

You guys think Is worth it to setup a tele with Levine or EID? Both are like $200 oop but if they tell me something other than wait it may be worth it?

If the doctors confirm your doctor is correct, then isn't it still worth the virtual call?

Mental health and stress can also cause ED. Focus on your mental health.

Nicotine pouches!? Has the swedish trend reaches the states now too! LOL!

You need to quit those asap! I was addicted to them for 8 years! We call them snus over here. I am 100% it has damaged my erectile function.

Remember, nicotine is a vasoconstrictor and a toxic substance that has severe negative impact on heart health and the entire vascular system and the last thing on earth us Peyronies patients need is something that negatively impacts bloodflow! I am now 1 year free from nicotine but it took me 8 years to quit!!

An important side note is that Trimix in the long run is only going to make your dick more full of scar tissue and add further deformity.

I can't believe how urologists prescribe this for Peyronies patients when it is contraindicated...

Sonic I am very bad lol I just cannot bring myself to totally quit. I smoked in my early 20's then quit, then vaped, then chewed and finally have settled on these little nicotine pouches. They are 8mg of nicotine per piece but I have cut done to the 4mg per piece maybe 2mg is next. You know the struggle. I saw Hawks all caps "NO TOBACCO PRODUCTS" on Peyronies Disease survival guide just hard to totally quit.

Lwillisjr- I think you are right. My current urologist has the green flags Dr. Trost recommends Do you guys think I should make an appointment with Levine (closer) or EID?

It is a nightmare. Especially if you are depressed. You keep using the nicotine as a means to soften the blow, calm yourself down and get that dopamine fix.

Quitting that substance was an incredibly hard battle. For me personally, quitting sugar permanently is even harder!!

I've never been able to completely quit sugar and we all know it's effects is one of the most damaging things to your body..

Yeah sonic there is definitely a mental component to my condition and I've noticed a pattern. It goes like this: a romantic relationship ends, depression, drugs, heightened and prolonged sexual activity that keeps injuring my dick in the same spot every time the pattern occurs. Chasing the dopamine I guess.

I try "Betterhelp" therapy to help me but so far is pretty useless.

Anyway, I took you guys advice and made an appointment with Dr. Trost I guess I'll see what he says about my case.

Update Dr. Trost review the photos and says he doesn't think it's Peyronies another urologist that can't help me. I think my erect photo threw him off and some questions are in the last 6 months. Oh well I guess. I have Eid on February 7th. I guess my plan is I will cease traction for now because I think it making my dick fully hat it feels thinner snd it msg break like a fine vase with nnier I cannot confirm through but it feels dented in spots if I don't heal I think I'll say screw and go with an implant m.
