Welcome to the forum.
Could you give some more details regarding your Peyronies?
How you are treating it?

Bendedict,

Welcome to the forum.  I am sorry your doctor gave you such misinformation.  While there is no cure, there are things you can do to affect the outcome rather than waiting to see what Peyronies Disease decides to do with your penis.

A few questions:
What are your symptoms?
Did this start from an injury?
What is your genereal health (High blood pressure, diabetes, etc)
Do you have insurance or means to get treatment?
where are you in dealing with the psychological aspects of Peyronies Disease?

You are right to find an other doctor because yours in not competent.
I was proposing a daily treatment as bellow:
3*400mg Pentox (Trental), if too much side effects 2*400mg.
2.5 to 5mg Cialis
2*500mg Acetyl L-Carnitine
2*1000mg L-Arginine
3*100mg Ubiquinol
VED, 20 minutes

You can expect improvements after six months or more, some people have faster improvement. Consistency is the key of this treatment.
I will advise you also to read the forum to understand what and how the above medications/supplements are helping with Peyronies.
Have to give a chance to oral treatment, VED and/or traction beffor going to surgery

If I were going to make an appoint in NC I would probably try this guy Culley C. Carson III, MD - Division of Urologic Surgery - UNC School of Medicine (http://www.med.unc.edu/urology/people/profiles/carson)

He covers a few clinics Patient Information - Division of Urologic Surgery - UNC School of Medicine (http://www.med.unc.edu/urology/patientinfo) and has an interest in Peyronies Disease.

I have no personal experience with him but he is at least considered to be a good sexual dysfunction doctor with a good reputation.

Do I understand that you are bent to an actual 90 degrees like the letter "L" ?

Have you attempted sex since the onset of this condition?
