Title: 18 years old - Victim of penile fracture
Post by: Dr.Robotdik on March 10, 2014, 09:12:36 PM
I sustained an injury during sex when I was 17, a couple months ago. To my surprise, my girlfriend pointed out a week later that it was unusually bent. While undiagnosed, I am fairly certain I have Peyronie's disease, as I show all the symptoms of it. The worst thing was that the injury was incredibly mild; no bleeding, no loss of erection, we just laughed and carried on (some pain for a couple minutes, thats all)

I'm now cursed with a 35-45 degree angle facing upwards in the middle of my shaft. No doubt, this has affected my sex life; it makes intercourse difficult for many positions, and it doesn't feel right for my girlfriend. I've contacted my General Practitioner about the issue, and have finally received a referral for an appointment to see a urologist on the 30th of April. I feel this is leaving it way too late, so I'll need to contact my GP again (he almost recommended I go to Accident & Emergency at my nearest hospital) to push this forward.

I just wanted to know, from everyone elses experience, how long it took for the condition to improve, and how much it improved. Im faced with the likely scenario that it'll never quite be the same again, but Im hopeful it will, with time, be almost the same as it was before (I dont want to start my young adulthood with a problem that could affect my sex life for the rest of my life). What's your experience?

Dr.R, you need a peyronies specialist. Don't waste your time with a general urologist. Where do you live? Maybe someone on this forum can recommend a specialist. Find one and see him immediately.

I had a similar injury one and a half year ago, but I never developed a curve. More like dents and girth loss and I'm still experiencing pain, which started several months after my injury. I never tried anything except pentox for a few months. It was too expensive for me and it didn't help me at all. Read this forum through. I think that the VED would be beneficial for you. Don't expect too much from a peyronie's specialist. Be carefully not to reinjure it and hope for the best.
