Title: I've been using RestoreX for about 20 months. when should one giveup on Restorex
Post by: zrx1200mn on May 16, 2023, 10:07:09 PM
I've been using RestoreX for 20 months. twice a day, for a total of 60 minutes.
After a short period of time, I regained all lost length; however, there is only a slight improvement in the curvature. My curvature has been stuck at 30%.
When is it time to go for Penile Plication Surgery?

It is great that you have stayed with the Restorex for that long. I have been using mine for about 2 years now and still do once a day treatments. I am not in the acute stage anymore and have regained all of my lost length. I still have a slight upward curvature though maybe 20 degrees down from 40. I still feel that the device helps with erections and keeping things elastic. It is up to you if you want to see any further improvements.

Glad to hear that you regained lost length. I am not a doctor and every person is different. If I were in your shoes, I would book one set of Xiaflex injections with Dr. Trost to treat the curvature. I went from 70 degrees dorsal curve to to 20 degrees with one set of injections from him. I used the RestoreX aggressively only 8 hours after the second injection and was immediately able to get to length and counterbending milestones that were unthinkable pre-injection. There is one factor to consider which is eligibility for Xiaflex...I believe (emphasis added) that the curve must be 30 degrees or higher. Dr. Trost offers free phone consults so that would certainly be a no-risk way to proceed. Good luck and please keep us posted.

how long did you use Pentox and Cialis in conjugation with RestoreX?

I had only used pentox and Cialis for about 6 weeks then I had sudden hearing loss and had to quit all medications. I know for a fact that the Cialis was helping me with erections and healing.

besides RestoreX, what else are you using? what is Heat Therapy and how does it work with RestoreX?

All I ever used after quitting all meds was the PMP and Restorex accompanied with heat therapy and VED therapy. Heat therapy is just applying some form of gentle heat no greater than 104*. I used an old heating pad wrapped in a towel for 30 minutes at a time. It provides circulation and enhanced healing and comfort. It does work and I did this about 3 times throughout the day.

Did you regain length in using Restorx in the chronic phase? I have tried my restorex yet and it's been 3 years since the injury.

The common thread seems to be lengthening up little curvature gain. I used restoreX for 3 months, 2X per day and didnt feel like I was getting any benefit, however since stopping I have had definite loss of length and a reduction in erection rigidity. I'd be keen to go again, but post Covid its much harder to find the time twice a day. I'd say keen using it but reduce the amount of time / sessions - try and find a balance that maintains where you are at

At the end of the day, I guess it depends on what you want to get out of the treatment and what your expectations were. Regaining length and having a 30 degree curvature is, in the grand scheme of things, not so bad.

After 4 years of Restorex (took a few breaks but generally used it regularly) and a Verapamil treatment I am now at approx 20-25 degree curvature according to different docs, down from approx 60 degrees. As far as I understand, 20-25 degrees this is within the normal span for people who were simply born with such a penis and did not have Peyronies Disease or go through any trauma that made it look this way.

Considering that, again based on expectations and where you want to get, I am not sure the only other option has to be plication surgery. But that is just me!

Would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

Best wishes,
FTC

thank you for your reply.
I have talked with both Urologists and have we ruled out plication surgery.
My last visit with my Urologist advised that I could take rounds of Xiaflex shots to further reduce my curvature, while continuing treatments with RestoreX until my curvature has been reduced.

I'm waiting for the insurance company to approve the Xiaflex.

Your quote "I am not at approx 20-25 degree" did you mean that you're at approx 20-25 degrees?

Rob

Hey,

Thanks for the update. Would be great to hear more once you have had the go ahead for Xiaflex and then what the results were. Similarly if anything changes with Restorex.

You are correct, excuse the typo. I meant to say that I am now at approx 20-25 degrees.

Best,
