I have a very noticeable large lump at or near the site of injection. I'm 12 days since the injections and it's still big. Should I be concerned? Is this normal?
Sounds like what happened to me. Most likely an internal hematoma. Some take a long time to heal. I'm going on 6 weeks, and it's still there, but getting smaller every week. I had a vein rupture, so my case is an extreme example
Hmm, definitely could be that. I was concerned somehow that plaque had gotten larger, but of course that made no actual sense. Thanks TDix.
Is it painful to the touch? Mine was unbearable for a few weeks, but now is just an annoying sensitive pain, kind of like having a staple in your underwear poking you from time to time
Not at all painful.
hmm may not be a hematoma then. They are very painful. I'd have it checked out to be safe. Could just be fluid
Tdix, I'm experiencing a hard lump at the injection site of Xiaflex. This lump feels hard like a peyronies plaque, could this be new scarring from the injection ? You are saying this could be a hematoma ? Will this lump and tenderness go away ?
It should, but I would monitor it. Definitely keep your doctor involved. Is it a painful lump? Is it just a dense patch with not much pain? I need a few more details
It causes pain on touching.... that area is also causing narrowing now and deformity... I had some narrowing before injection... but after injection that area is more narrow and a new large painful bump on top of it.... hoping that it will heal and go away allowing tissue to expand like before.
