I selected Dr. Christine in Birmingham Alabama after my first surgery by Mayo Clinic did not last.  Only lasted 8 months.  We flew once to see him it was more of a meet and great.  Then a second time for the ultrasound and what he could do for me.   He said this would be a complicated surgery because I already had one surgery.  He and I could feel the knots from the Mayo surgery.  I told him I would like him to take out all the stitching from the Mayo surgery and start all over.  He did tell me he could not guarantee how much shorter I would be, but probably not much since he was starting from scratch.  But no guarantees.  Remember that if you go to him.  Two years ago, about this month, I flew back to Burmingham and had the surgery.   I the only residual pain was just under the gland and shaft.  He kept tapping me on the shoulder, telling me, "don't worry, I am with you all the way, you will be fine.  After his surgery and the anesthetic wore off, I had a pain under the gland on the left side.  He told me not to worry and that should go away when we take out the stitches in 6 weeks.  To this day, I still have pain just under the gland and on the shaft.  He told me this pain will not ever go away and I could not believe that. How can I have intercourse with this pain.  He had no answer.  His stitches all poked up like a ribbed condom.  I ended up having a urogynecologist give me 4 sessions of Kenalog shots in the stitches to make them go down. I did that in my own state.   Since I am only now 4 inches erect and have the pain, which I figure something is touching a nerve, I called his office.  I wanted surgery to have all what he did undone and just have my original minor curve.  I got a phone call from him very stern and not as buddy buddy as he leads on and said he is not going to do any further surgery on me.   I have tried 5 times in the last 2 years to have intercourse with no luck.  Too short and painful.  So this was my experience with Dr. Brian Christine.

I was prescribed this by a urologist years ago for some irritation around my circumcision. I have a tube of this left and was wondering if it would be safe to use for my pain and inflammation? I don't fully understand how the drug works but I've seen anecdotal reports of it being beneficial for phimosis.

I too can discuss via PM. Reside in East Tennessee. I am in the second week of recovery. My surgeon was Dr Clavell in Houston. I'm 57 and have battled ED for a number of years. But like so many who have walked this path within this forum, the walk has alot of twists and turns. the experience in this forum was very very helpful for me personally.

I wrote an email to the scientist named in the article. She actually responded directly. she wrote the following

Thank you for reaching out. We are moving forward with our peptide development as funds become available. You will be happy to know that Peyronie's disease is in our top list of diseases to consider testing, so we definitely have interest in the disease.

I would say it is really a promising and encouraging, but also vague answer. it would be great to find out more. Are we talking about one two years or ten years?

Penile Implants / Re: Implant as First Line Trea...

If you have an EXPERT doctor AND you are diligent, you may well retain your size, but you could be non-functional for months with the risk of infection return.  I sure would not want to deal with it.

Surgery for Peyronie's Disease / Re: Penile Torsion Problem
Last post by Pfract - Yesterday at 01:42:14 PM
There have been reports of members throughout the years that had surgery done to deal with this and their outcome Wwas successful. You need to find a reputable sexual medicine specialist that handles these cases. The type of surgery will be dependant on your curvature.

Be careful of the doctor you chose to have this procedure done with. You want to have the best outcome possible on your first surgery.

If you are willing to travel and have the financial means for it, you may able to see some of the surgeons mentioned by members on this forum. How exactly are you in regards to this matter?

I'm suffering from some indentations and I think I would greatly benefit from a VED. The problem is that my injury is that very base of the underside of my penis and my fear is that the vacuum seal would create an unbearable amount of pressure. Are there any workarounds for this?

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hello Introduction

I am sorry but It was difficult for me to understand what you wrote, it was as you say, "scattered all over the place".

So basically you have tried Restorex and VED therapy have been on Cialis for over 10 years and just finished your 3rd round of Xiaflex. You do have questions on the Dr's actual procedure with the injection protocol he used on you.  Pentox now is even questionable if it even works. You say your only improvement now is that the hourglass indentation is gone. You are now questioning a fourth round of Xiaflex. I personally would not go forward with this Dr.

Have you read any of the success stories from Dr Trosts's patients on Xiaflex? He actually invented his own personal protocol and has great success with it. Many men have been very pleased with their final result. My first concern was where you said your urologists didn't even recommend traction. That for me would be a red flag on changing Dr's.  If I was in your position I would at least have a consult with Dr Trost to discuss his personal opinion on the matter. Yes you could go forward and try for an implant but I would be very careful in my selection of a surgeon. Only choose a highly qualified one surgeon who has done thousands of them, Dr Eid in NY is one of them.
