Title: Injury causing peyronies - advice needed
Post by: JimLe96 on November 24, 2020, 04:48:28 AM
So, in April this year, I caused trauma to the penis by overstretching. I'm utterly stupid as I was trying to correct my congenital curvature and I had a sharp pain and stopped. Fast forward 8 months and I started to notice my penis head hanging slightly left in flaccid state. Luckily I haven't noticed any change whilst erect although recently started to suffer from ED. Basically I have a found  a really small hard lump on the left side of the penis next to the head and I believe this is scar tissue which is the cause of the ED and slight deformation in flaccid state. I have been prescribed with sildenafil and told not to masturbate more the twice a week. Does anyone have advice? I'm concerned that the deformation will get worse. I'm been gently trying to massage the hard spot in hope of breaking it down but I'm also concerned I'll be doing more damage. I'm just hoping my erectile function will return to normal shortly 😢

I really do hope so as I was having elections fine for 5 months after the trauma. The last 2 months have been a gradual decrease so maybe I need to just give it time to heal. 🤞🏻

Hey,

Maybe you can asked to be referred to a urologist/specialist who will be able to give more specific advice? That might be worthwhile at this stage.

That said, I met with several who just told me to wait, and after 3 years I finally met a doctor who told me I should not wait and what actions to take. I first noticed a lump similar to what you describe about 4 months after my trauma but the actual bend/curvature did not emerge until after around 1,5-2 years. Basically, if it is Peyronies, it can be an ever evolving condition that might reverse or get better on its own, so you need more info from a specialist.

In the meantime, to complement the Sildenafil, my advice would be to take some Coq10 and consider embarking on a gentle VED-protocol. Both of those should be relatively safe and low-cost actions that could speed up the recovery, help with the ED, or at least prevent the situation from deteriorating further. But that's just me and it is stemming from believing that the healing of scar tissue benefits from an increased blood flow (which Sildenafil also facilitates) and anti-oxidants.

But above all - try to see a specialist who knows about Peyronies, not one who considers ED the main issue.

Best of luck!

I have a call scheduled with one of the UK's leading Peyronies specialist on the 1st December. Until then, I will just gently stretch the penis to improve blood flow.

Kind regards

James

So I just spoke with my GP. He basically told me there is no treatment for Peyronies Disease other than SWT...I mentioned that I have been recommended to use pent and Vitamin E and he explained that NICE found no evidence to suggest it helps...

I then decided to contact my urologist in hope of an answer. He just told me to only masturbate a maximum of twice a week.

I'm speaking with Dr Raheem on Tuesday so hopefully he can shed more light and help me prevent any development. I'm hoping it's not peyronies, I've just over analysed my penis for last 7 months and maybe I'm trying to find something.

I've actually been looking at the little hard lump and it appears to be a hard at the top of a little blue vein?? So maybe not peyronies. Really unusual but I will wait to speak with the specialist on Tuesday.

Actually some oral treatments have helped many, including pentox and low dose nightly generic cialis all to remodel plaque to healthy tissue.

Hi Tony, I'm not sure if it is a plaque or a hard vein that could be causing the blockage :/

So, I saw Dr Raheem earlier this week and he confirmed it wasn't peyronies but instead a bit of "congestion", whatever that is. Had suggested that I take 5mg of tildafil for 90 days and if the ED hasn't resolved to come back for ESWT.

Fingers crossed.

Further update:

It appears the little nodule is intact Mondor's disease as it is superficial. Hopefully it will resolve itself in the coming month.

If anyone has some treatment advice it would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

James
