Title: What was my Peyronies Disease cause...
Post by: dangerdave66 on June 06, 2018, 07:11:33 AM
So I'm dealing with the Peyronies Disease via xiaflex injections beginning next week. I was first diagnosed about 6 months ago and believe it started developing 18 months ago.

But while that is beginning, I'm trying to get a better handle on the cause. Was it our pattern of regular sex? Or a specific event?

I've read that in most cases, other than hereditary, it's caused by injury. Blunt force during an erection bending in a specific way so far that a tear begins and then the body starts to try and fix it with plaque (dumb body).

I vaguely recall a moment during intercourse with my new wife where a pop occurred. She was reverse cowgirl and bending her down towards my feet. I kind of think this was my moment of injury.

However, that said, since we met 4 years ago, her go-to position is face forward cowgirl. She only 5' and we fit together tightly. When she bears down in that position to reach orgasm, I have always felt a ton of pressure on my penis. Without knowing for sure, it feels like she uses her cervix (which is pretty hard) to press my penis onto her G-spot (and the pelvic bone behind that). And this seems to align with the point of bend in the penis.

So there is the question. Is it more likely that the Peyronies Disease is caused by a lesser injury, that is highly repetitive, such as clamping on the erect penis? Or is it simply caused by the random fracture during an erection?

Obviously my concern is as I go forward with this fix, do I need to put a stop to her on top, so I can control better to limit future reoccurance?

Cowgirl is a very risky position. Even my doctor advises against it.

If you are metabolically and "genetically" prone to it. It is largely a metabolic disease. Many of us get it at the age 18 with zero micro-damage.

The "pop" was most likely the injury.  Hope your wife can go without that position, or could at least go gentle with it to prevent re-injury.

My Uro said that the vast majority of cases he has seen where the cause can be linked to a specific trauma event (vs purely genetic root cause) have come from when the woman is on top

Crushing injuries are very real, heightened by Girl on top sex, unless you can maintain a 99% erection then this particular position is 'risky'  :o
