After time consideration and much mental anguish, I have decided to take the next step and go see doctor Eid for an in person consultation. I have been to an online web appointment which we agreed that the implant seems like a sensible step. It has been about a year or so since that appointment. I am now ready to take the next step. For those of you who are wondering when the right time to get an implant is. It is when you cannot take it anymore and you need a change. I am finally at that point where pretty much anything would be better than the way things are now. Fingers crossed that the appointment goes well and he thinks he can help. I'll keep you updated as I go
CK,
I've got a video call with EID. Just curious what next steps are? Like does he do a doppler at this appointment? If I choose to do an implant it would be nice to get it accomplished with as little airfare and lodging as possible.
If you have had the option to have one installed by him I am surprised you did not do it earlier. Never heard of an unsatisfied patient of his.
Implant installed by such a good surgeon will give you nothing but an advantage in bed versus normal guys.
Good luck!
@sonic Well it's only been two years for me. Some docs say the active phase could last 2 years or even longer I think that is a way to get the patient to stop bothering the doc tbh.
It's been slightly over that and I'm still having problems so now I continue onward. It's a big decision amazing doc or not. I have heard different opinions like from Trost and the local doc they say oh peyornies pain doesn't last it doesn't result I referred pain etc. but then there are many on the forums who have had it for years and have pain and there are many
After a recent mild progression in my dent toward the base it is time to stop waiting any longer. I am still happy with what I have I just want to have closer to what I used to and to ensure I won't progress further. Hopefully it will also limit the pain. If not I will be okay though. The pain will be easier to handle if I can f*** again
Eid will fill you in on all the details. The next step is Ian in person appointment to take measurements Doppler I believe too.
Thanks CK! Wishing you success!
CurveKiller I hope for the best for you as I know you have wrestled with this for a long time. Take lots of notes and ask all of your questions. Good Luck! Dr Eid is the best!
Thank you all for the wishes I will keep you posted on how everything goes. I want to thank all the members for their support. I never even would have heard of doctor eid if their weren't forums so I am grateful for that and the general knowledge I have gained from this site as well as the support from members.

I would say that is a pretty accurate assessment, ESPECIALLY if you are under 50 yrs old.
Best of luck to you, CurveKiller!
Thank you hawk that makes me feel good about the decision. Haven't made the appointment yet seeing what my summer is looking like. For now I'm too busy with work and school to do the appointment in may-July I'll go for the appointment
Curvekiller, When I decided, something just clicked. Back then, JackP was the only member with an implant, but I researched, and I just knew I was done with years of injections, VEDs, PDE5 inhibitors, and a dozen Erectile Dysfunction supplements.
When I told my wife, she knew I was an avid research maniac. She thought I might back out when it came down to the wire. Never in our lives has she so misread me. I HAD HAD IT When I decided, I knew I would never be diverted.
I have said many times that I waited way too long to pull the trigger. I would have saved thousands of dollars, untold hours of jumping through hoops and planning, and untold frustration. I would have saved close to 2 " in length. Instead, I only regained about an inch of that for a net loss of an inch.
I've heard from quite a few guys who said that Dr Eid is on sick leave.
They don't give a time frame for his return to work and some procedures are being postponed or referred elsewhere.
I hope this is not something serious, both for him and for his patients.
Thia is impacting many guys. Some are international travelers.
