Title: Cialis alternatives?
Post by: thegreycat on January 10, 2023, 10:46:22 AM
Hi
I got onto Cialis because of its anti-fibrotic properties, and for its NTE benefits - due to my deformity and fairly severe mental health complications thanks to this awful disease, I'm just not able to acheive a full erection any more, aside from within my VED.

I've been on 5mg daily Cialis for a fortnight now and unfortunately I appear to be one of the people with whom it does not agree.
I've got headaches, aching ear canals & blood coming from the anus - all of which go away 2 days after I stop taking Cialis and come back the day after I start taking it again. The ear ache happens within half an hour and lasts roughly 36 hours.

The ear ache is extremely concerning as a rare side effect of Cialis is hearing loss - as someone who values music above nearly anything else in my life, hearing loss would quite literally be the end of me. So, I have stopped taking it.
What other ED drugs are there that may not have quite so harsh side effects? Specifically looking for something I can either take daily, or before bed in order to keep my NTE's going, and something with anti-fibrotic properties that Cialis has.
Thanks

Hey Greycat,

Have you tried other PDE5's like short acting viagra? the clearance rate is a lot faster than cialis so you may have better luck with that. Or you could use l-arginine 5-10 grams a day. l-arginine increase nitrix oxide and can help with the erections although probably not as much as a pde5. injections could also be an option for sex if you don't like using a VED system.

I've heard about the head & ear aches, bleeding out of the a$$hole though is a first and ir's good that you have quit because you really have to with those side effect. Like poster above me said have you tried Sildenafil? Many people who can't tolerate daily dosage of tadalafil try 25mg daily dosage of sildenafil.

Thanks both, I'll look into it.
Unfortunately at the moment sex is not possible due to deformity, I'm currently working on that with a VED, but I'm most interested in the NTE's as with Cialis I was getting at least 5, really strong ones that I was aware of, which means I'm getting benefits in terms of bloodflow & stretch even as I sleep.
I'll get onto high dose L-Citrulline as that gets converted into L-Arg in the body, as well as CoQ10 in place of the Cialis first, otherwise I'll into Sildenafil.
Many thanks

If you take 25mg Sildenafil let's say 2 hours before going to sleep it will help with nocturnal erections also.

I would suggest using the L-Citrulline as this has helped me. I was one of the rare unfortunate ones who did have hearing loss with severe tinnitus and hyperacusis. It has been a literal living nightmare that I would not wish on anyone.  You should be careful with any Cialis/Viagra drugs as you may be one with a sensitivity.
