Title: Introducing myself.
Post by: PegK on July 09, 2017, 07:32:08 PM
My name is Peg, and obviously I do not have Peyronies Disease.  However, ten months ago I reunited with my former fiance of nine years whom I have not had any word from, seen, or heard of in seventeen years.  I did not find him in the same condition as he was when he parted.  The other day he told me for the first time that he is completely numb, can't respond, and won't initiate due to shame and fear that I'll leave him.  I found Peyronie's Disease that night as soon as I googled "numb penis." We have a long road ahead and no diagnosis yet, but thank God it's not ME (as any woman would believe).  Thank you for being here!  If he decides to join this forum, I will bow out and give him privacy.  Meanwhile, if you don't mind, I can learn so much here.  Thank you!

Hello Peg,

Welcome to the forum, has your partner found a urologist yet or saught treatment? Does he believe he has Peyronies?

The more information you can give us the more we will be able to help :)

I know he does.  We were lovers from 1990 - 1999, and not only did he get injured as described on numerous occasions, but he was curved and angled when we met.  In the years between then and now, he stayed single, but sexually active.  When I found him in 2016, he was living as a hermit and he was already in this withdrawn state.  I'll see if he will let me go with him to the doctor tomorrow.  Yes, I will read up, and print, what I can to take to him and to his doctor.

I know he is to see his primary care practitioner today.  I hope she will refer him to a specialist in urology.  He wants me to join him in that appointment.  As doctors appointments are usually scheduled far ahead, I don't expect to have any answers anytime soon.  I'll stay in touch.

Thanks for this! The doctors I can easily see and are covered by my insurance are not on here. If I learn anything as I go through this process, I'll let you know.
