hi,

I am a 40 year old, living in the UK.  I first noticed a dent in my penis exactly a year ago, I found a lump on the left side of my penis which at first I thought was cancerous.  After researching the symptoms online I found that there was a possiblity it could be Peyronies Disease.

I made an immediate appointment with an urologist who confirmed that it was Peyronies Disease, however he didn't know much about it or any cure.

At the time it was just a dent in my penis when erect and a small lump could be felt when flaccid. The urologist said it was nothing to worry about and that I could continue having sex as normal and to take painkillers for the pain.

After two weeks of 'his research' he prescribed me Potabo which I tried and had to stop due to severe headaches.

I did a bit of research online on many websites, none with any confirmed cures and many reported cases of the Peyronies Disease curing itself after 12-18 months, so I decided to leave it be and let it takes its course.

Over the last few months I noticed that the curvature of the penis got very bad, almost 45degrees, which also make my penis very small.

This really has a physiological effect on me and has given me a bit of anxiety.  I am in a relationship though and have a very supportive partner so  this helped.

Only a few days ago, almost a year since the first one, I noticed another lump on the right side on the penile shaft which i believe is fairly new as I wouldve noticed it before, this one is deep into the shaft but still apparent.

This second lump has really got me worried and crushed all the thoughts of the Peyronies Disease getting better.

I'm trying to figure out what could have triggered both symptoms, and cant seem to pin point anything but make assumptions.

I dont trust the urogolist as feel he doesnt know enough about it, and is only looking to get paid via my insurance....

I'm come on here looking for any positive remedies as i'm really worried now that this could get worse.

Is there anything I can do or take to prevent this getting worse?

It is really frustrating that doctors that suppose to help the public are so much ignorant and not qualified for nothing except to get they salaries.
My opinion is, if you want to prevent getting worst, start immediate treatment.
VED, use it carefully according to the forum protocol, gently DO NOT OVER-PUMP.
Pentox and low dose Cialis.
Change your diet, be physically active.
Read the forum, get educated in the subject, because as you have experienced already, the doctors don't know too much and they don't care also.

thanks James,

My only regret is not joining this forum when this first occurred.

I will look into VED.  I'm already ordered Acetyl L-carnitine 1000mg, Bromelain, 500mg, 90 Vegan and EDTA to test...I guess im willing to try anything now!

Are Pentox and Cialis available to buy over the counter or do these need prescription?

I got to the gym 3 times a week so fairly active...

Will continue reading the forum as this has given much more information and advice than the urologist!

pentox and cialis are prescription medication in the uk. go and talk to your doctor about it.

Thanks guys,  I'll make an appointment with the NHS urologist rather than the Private Hospital I went to and will ask for those...

As James said start VED therapy and try pentox, possibly cialis and other supplements popular on these boards. In my case gentle manual stretching smoothed out my curve, and VED got rid of the dents and hour glassing. It took a year or so before the disease stopped taking it's course but it seemed to stop when I was careful with masturbation and limited frequency. Treat your penis like you would any other injury, if you have sex or masturbate do so carefully as to be fully turned on so your penis can fill out entirely. For me to achieve good erections (I'm only 27), I have to take a week long break from any stimulation, but I really feel as see the difference. Afterwards my deformity is much less apparent. For me, VED, stretching, and arousal/erection care has nearly brought me back to pre-peyronies. Take this slow and try not to worry, stay committed to it and allow time. There is hope!

thanks NeoV

Im really gutted that i didnt join the forum before...trusting in a urologist who knew nothing bout this disease was in hindsight a big mistake.

Hopefully its not to late to fix this as hoping this wont affect any family planning..

Please give us some more details regarding Dr. Chitali.
Like address, contact way, treatments he is up to.
WE have knowledge about very few doctors in the UK.
