Title: Presentation - UK - 26 years old
Post by: LondonMatt on January 13, 2018, 04:37:38 PM
Hi All,

First, I would like to thank people who are in charge of this forum, such a great idea to share our different stories and help each other.
I'm a French lad, 26 years old, living in London UK. I had an issue 3 or 4 months ago with my Ex-Girlfriend, but I am not able to recall the exact moment. Since, the Peyronies Disease symptoms appear one after others :

- Painful Erection
- Small lump of hard-tissue located at the basis of the Penis (size of a rice grain)
- Bent Erection on the left and upward.
- Shortening of the Penis.

I am now ready to start the fight, using all of the help of this forum, and not the bull**** scams we can find on Google.
I am in the acute phase and I want to treat myself ASAP, as I've read that it can make a difference.
For UK members, I have to wait 3 weeks to register myself with a GP, and that's the only way to go through NHS process I'm afraid.
If anyone knows a good urologist in London, not to expensive (One asked me £500 for a consultation) Could you please share the contact ?

Many thanks and all the best to all of you,

Matt

Even if you can register with a GP, obviously the GP will need to understand and agree you need to be referred to a consultant NHS Urologist. Sometimes the NHS GP's will say, "nothing you can do, take Vit E and wait to see if you need an operation" !!!! When I managed to get referred, it was 3 months till I got an appointment as well.

If you can go private like you say, this guy is the best in the UK, if not Europe :

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for your answer.
That's the thing, even thought I am able to see a Urologist through NHS, it can take months and it can be someone who is not a Peyronie expert. In the Meantime, the nodule I have will become plaque and i will be in the chronic phase.

Question : If I go to see a private doctor like Dr Raheem, his prescription (like VED, Pentox, ...) will be covered by NHS?
Also if you know the consultation cost of Dr Raheem, I would be interested.

Thank you!

No ... if you see Dr Raheem privately, any prescription he gives you will be private with the associated costs, not NHS.

You're very right about NHS referral. There is no guarantee you would be referred to UCLH Hospital let alone to Dr Raheem or a Peyronies specialist.

I don't know exactly how much a private consultation with Dr Raheem would be. From my experience in London, I would say around £300 for the initial consultation.

Hi Gutted,

Thanks for your answer, even if that means I will have to make choices.
I am 100% to have Peyronie disease, so I will skip the Dr Consultation and order directly Pentox + VED.

Matt.
