Title: PeniMaster Pro vs Phallosan Forte for Post Op Traction
Post by: MarkVA on July 11, 2016, 11:09:18 AM
Hello everyone.  Last Thursday (three days ago) I had PEG surgery performed by Dr. Levine ( an amazing doctor!) in Chicago to correct a 70 degree upward curvature.  I am now debating on which device to use for traction in 3 or 4 weeks.  Before visiting Dr. Levine, I was going to buy the Phallosan Forte based on the reviews on this website.  However, Dr. Levine presented me with another option called the PeniMaster Pro.  The PeniMaster Pro has both the belt and conventional rod systems- compared to the Phallosan Forte, which only has the belt system.  I have never worn a traction device any would probably opt to use the belt; however, if the two products are similar, maybe it makes sense to buy the PeniMaster Pro in case I wanted to switch over to the rod system.

Does anybody have any words of wisdom with the two devices?  I am looking primarily for comfort, ease of use and a device I can wear in bed at night.  Also, has anybody experienced any success getting insurance to cover part of the cost (I have Anthem Blue Cross / Blue Shield) or found either device for under $300?
Best wishes to everyone fighting this battle!!!

Mark,

I have a PF and it is comfortable. I also have a Sizegenetics. I think there is a noticeable difference in the stretching between the two. I think the SG gets a better stretch; however, it is not as comfortable. If I had to select a device again, I would get the Penimaster Pro because you can get both the belt and rod.  With that said, I think my SG would be perfect with the PM gland attachment. If you get the PM, please let me know what the diameter of the rod is because they sell the gland attachment kit and I would connect it  to my SG and get the best of both worlds, comfort and quality stretch. I have stopped using traction for the moment and plan to start once I start Xiaflex in August or September.

I just finished 6 injections of the Xiaflex and think it has help a lot.  The uro tells me know to think about a traction device.  Now that the bend is smaller I would like to get a little of my length back which I was told traction would do.  Not sure which one as many on the market.......any help would be appreciated.  If unfamiliar with the xiaflex see attached......thanks in advance

Kahuna,

Get the Penimaster Pro. With traction, it's about length of time wearing. If you don't wear it as much, it isn't going to be as effective. I wore both my Sizegenetics and Phalosan Forte for several months, but once the silicon noose broke on the Sizegenetics, the after market stuff sucked and was even more uncomfortable. I got the Phallosan Forte and while comfortable, it just doesn't provide a good enough stretch. The Penimaster Pro will give you the stretch you are looking for and the comfort you need to wear it longer.

Solid tips right here! Who would say that Levine was using the penimaster for his patients!

I would get it to the top of the yellow, but no it isn't close to what the Sizegenetics can do and after four cycles of Xiaflex the poking has toughened it up and it looks more like a brother's penis from another mother because it's not the same color it was before Xiaflex. My URO said it was unusual for the blood discoloration to linger like that.

QuackAttack-- hoping you and/or others may be able to offer some advice on the penimaster pro. I had been using a basic rod stretcher from andropeynie which provides a great stretch but as has been reported can be a bit rough on the glans.  I recently bought the PM but am having fits getting the glans chamber on.  I wasn't able to master the suction ball so purchased the hose and that didn't seem to help.  I have found that when semi erect it is much easier to get on.  This isn't quite the norm through when trying to wear throughout the day and having to take off and put back on.  Any advice/ tips on getting the glans chamber on?  I am sure as a "grower" rather than a "shower" I am at a bit of a disadvantage.  I have also thought about going with the Phallosan and that seems to be easier to get on the glans but sounds like may not be as effective of a stretch as the PM.  Thanks to all for any advice.

Curved; as I'm starting to get the hang of this my one tip that helps me is to make sure the suction cup is equidistant from the rim of your glans all the way around. What I now do  is take the pump and squeeze it, lock in the suction and place it on my dominant hand, turn my penis a little to the left and line it up with the suction then let it go. Placing it so it touches all around the glans before releasing and letting it suction helps me get it first or second try every time.

Curved,

What daybyday is saying is pretty much what you do with the PF. I don't have a PMP yet. It is on order through the military. So, I have to be patient if I want to get it free and I DO! With that said, the PF just doesn't provide much of a stretch and while very comfortable it is less than optimal because it doesn't give the same kind of stretch as a rod-style device.

Thanks daybyday and Quackattack.....appreciate the responses. daybyday I will follow the advice and report back. The few times I have been able to get the PM to work it is definitely more comfortable.  Thanks again.
