Title: New and Need Thoughts before Uro Appt
Post by: RhinoRy on May 09, 2016, 07:29:27 PM
Hey guys,

I'm a 30 year old male. I have peyronies and I'm waiting to get in to see Dr. Stahl in NYC (appt is in 3 weeks). He was actually my uro for other issues before this so I already have a relationship with him. Anyhow, I read the survival guide and got some supplements... I'm not a very big guy (130 lbs) so I'm aiming for the low end on the dosage amounts... Does that sound wise?

I'm currently taking ALC (1.5 grams), CoQ10 (200 mg) and about to add l-Arginine (funny side note about l-Arginine: I used to take this stuff in college as a supplement when I used to lift weights all the time and it gave me some mammoth night time erections... I'd literally have to get out of bed and walk them off, ha).

I have been reading the site like crazy and it seems like I need to be really aggressive early on. Do you guys think I should be doing traction before seeing the uro and getting the doppler done? Also, should I take cialis now (I have some from when I had anxiety issues years ago) or wait to see Dr. Stahl?

I just want to be as aggressive as possible. BTW, I have two dents across from each other mid-shaft (dent on the left is slightly bigger). I'm curving upwards. I'd guess that I'm between 15-25 degrees right now. First noticed my peyronies in January. No serious pain as of now. Also no ED issues.

I had a life threatening illness (superbug infection) before this so that has helped my mental outlook with peyronies. I'm happy to be alive and have an amazing relationship with my wife who has been so supportive with all of this.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

-Ryan

If you have Peyronies Disease then you have penile fibrosis even though it may not be easy to detect. This interferes with the tunica elasticity which causes the bend. It also interferes with blood vessels and possibly nerves. The vascular interference causes the dents. Now that you have it, treatments generally are attempts to 'work around' the fibrosis to minimize the damage it is causes. There is currently no treatment short or major surgery that can remove the plaque. Xiaflex may breakdown enough of it (if the doctor can get it in the right spot) to alleviate some of the symptoms. So for now, yes, get yourself both a good quality stretching device and a vacuum device and learn how to use them. Low dose Cialis (2.5 mg) + pentoxifylline (800-1200 mg/d) will all help to re-vascularize areas that have been damaged from the fibrosis. I personally don't think other supplements do much but everyone is different and each Peyronies Disease case is different.

Good luck!

Med dosages for Peyronies seem to be pretty consistent regardless of an individual's weight.
